His every rendition of the Appassionata (particularly the 3rd movement) leaves people loving or hating him. I LOVE him! He BECOMES the Appassionata. It comes to life and gives me the chills and I hang on every note, every phrase. Truly, he is genuis!!!
@prsguitar22 let's see you play it at this tempo... you can't... its too difficult... and no, i don't like it, but you clearly can't understand my reasons.. and many ppl like it as i discovered so stop being a "know-it-all-youtuber" and learn to appreciate diversity
@prsguitar22 The trouble with classical music at YouTube is that there's always some guy (it's always a guy) who has been appointed by God to point out the flaws (as imagined by him) in a performance by a celebrated artist. Of course, when you click on the critic's channel, he invariably has nothing to show for his soi-disant genius.
It seems typical for some poor apple with no talent or ability to gain self-esteem on the cheap by deprecating the accomplishments of gifted people.
Stunning music, but horrible acting with his face screws up the enjoyment of this video, and detracts from the energy he should be using to play this piece. He's almost as annoying as Lang Lang, yet far more talented. I should like to hear this Fazil Say once he stops his gawking and stupid gestures and just plays the music.
@KhagarBalugrak this means that you dont act with yor face while you're playing!? you must be the coolest pianist who doesnt make stupid gestures at all!!! WOW! CONGRAGULATIONS! How come we couldnt recognize you till now!!? what a shame!!!!!!!!

Mozart daha onunla uyuşan bir yapıda.
Bence tabii.

I hope people can realize that it is possible to interpret music in other ways thus changing things like tempo. Just gonna throw that out there.

Apart from playing on a 'powerhouse' Bösendorfer we have to look at the tempo.
Beethoven gave metronome indications for most of his music and this tempo is way too fast.
Besides that, the Conrad Graf piano on which Beethoven played when he composed this sonata (he was a 'Klavierritter', what Bach despised) could never
allow the player to get to this speed: the action of the instrument can't do it.
Virtuosity is fine, but a historical awareness brings 'old' music to real life.
