i dont think its smudging. i think its using different opacity levels yo create shadows.

but i know there are both opacity and smudging things in photoshop.

The video's called "Painting an eye". What'cha expect? An amazing painting? And it does look REAL. In fact, it's quite spectacular that someone can paint it that realistic.

I've always wondered if people that draw on the computer draw just as good on Paper... Prove it???

Hmm both yes and no. Using a tablet and software allows you to really zoom in on detail which you normally would not be able to do with the naked eye. Not to mention you have access to a whole boat load of effects for brushes and other tools.

Overall it's tricky to draw using a tablet and in real life. Both have their hardships, it's all down to practice.

If you can draw using tablet you are also good in traditional media. Computer gives you speed, but the fundamentals of drawing/painting are still the same.

It also applies backwards, but it takes a bit of practice if you've never used any of the image editing softwares.
