  • Is there a choral version like this somewhere?

  • This place is Katona József Színház (Theater) in Kecskemét, Hungary.

  • WIs this a cable series? The camera angles make me think of Showtime or HBO...kinda sensationalistic lol. Thanks for posting though - this looks great!

  • @PotterPossum1989, yep, it was an HBO miniseries that aired in 2008. LOLZ, I always thought the camera angles were weird, too. Thank you very much! :) Definitely check out the rest of the series if you can, it's awesome!

  • @PotterPossum1989 If you have HBO it will be shown all episodes on Monday the 4th from 8am till 6pm

  • John Adams. He UNITED the STATES of America.

  • He was a great man. And even greater president! Huzzah!

  • Anyone who hows playing the actor on stage singing to the President?

  • WOW! It's insane how the actor disses Jefferson--with the symbol-to-be of the Democrats!

  • John Adams was a lousy president. The only thing he did right was keep out that war. George Bush should have taken note.

  • @Thx1138d ....Your a moron. Period.

  • You probably have not performed a day of military service in your life. Your title "Wise Guy" is hardly accurate. How many wars have you been in?

  • @Thx1138d ..I was never in a war..although I did spend 10 years in the U.S. Army as a 19 Echo..Armor crewman...And I was stationed in South Korea at Camp Casey, 1/72nd Armor, Headquarters Company for 18 months during the early 80's..some of it on the DMZ were shots are fired everyday. Like I said, your a moron.

  • You shouldn't call others morons based on different opinions

  • those were the days!!!

  • This is terrifying.

  • why not we change our anthem for that.

  • so much better then our anthem

  • we istned to this in social studies

  • John Adams would be sick in his grave he knew what has been done to the constitution.

  • @k1a1t1h1y1, I agree!

  • @k1a1t1h1y1 What do you mean by things being "done" to the Constitution? The only things done to the Constitution have been 27 legal amendments, 12 of which were enacted while John Adams was alive and well. If you're referring to "Obamacare", I'm not even going to go there. It's ridiculous how many people throw around the term "unconstitutional" who have never taken even the most basic of a Constitutional law class or at the very least read the document in its entirety, let alone understand it.

  • @dqm587 Youre a fucking arrogant ignorant wanna be elitist fucking cocksucking little shit. What the fuck does taking a 'basic Constitutional Law' class have anything to do with understanding The United States Constitution? People can fucking read it, it is there for the *public* regarldess of what their socioeconomic background is. Demonstrate where in The United States Constitution that health care is a right? Fucking idiot drone.

  • @ThunderAppeal...Wow...You smacked the guy because he's smart? Besides him saying "Obamacare", I'm not even going to go there", which thankfully he didn't, his claim that the Constitution has 27 legal amendments, 12 of which were enacted while John Adams was alive is correct, and people do throw around the phrase 'Unconstitutional" all the time without reading the facts ie; "Separation of Church and State"...;)

  • @k1a1t1h1y1 Not really, they built the Constitution to be changed over time. That's why they enabled us to do this thing called 'Amending'.

  • @Redward652 Youre a fucking retard. No one 'built' the Constitution, it was *written* you dipshit. Amending The Constitution is done through debates in Congress and The Senate at the urging of the public. There is *nothing* in The United States Constitution that strong arms people to take part in a government plan. In fact that concept is *unConstitutional* you idiot.

  • @ThunderAppeal Umm, did you not read my comment? I mention amending. o.0 I was responding to someone who said "John Adams would be sick in his grave knowing the Constitution has been changed."

Why are you attacking me? I said nothing you should take any offense over. I mentioned no hotbutton issues, I only indicated that the Constitution can and has been changed legitimately.

  • @Redward652 You have alluded to undermining The United States Constitution and the process involved in making *amendments to* The Constitution.

  • @ThunderAppeal I did not allude to undermining the Constitution (and I'd attack anyone who would undermine the Constitution.)

The process of Amending is real. It's been used like 27 times, including the 10 that comprised the Bill of Rights.

If you think that those were illegitimate changes, go read a history book. They were voted on by the country. By Americans.

I said nothing about undermining. I said nothing against America or the Constitution. I only pointed out that changes legitimately.

  • @Redward652 You combine amending with preamble. You apparently have a severe comprehension problem. Amending is not about rewriting the Constitution. Amending is about making *amendments* (ie additions after vigorous debate).

Save your phony self-rightous anger for someone else.

  • @Redward652 Imposing government will on the citizens of America is by itself unConstitutional. You are talking about making amendments that circumvent that by forcing people to have to accept government mandated health care.

Then you turn around and pretend to 'defend The Constitution.' You have a severe comprehension problem, at best.

  • @ThunderAppeal I did not even mention Healthcare. o.o

Oh, and by the way, Amendments can and have rewritten parts of the Constitution. For example, the article of the Constitution describing the Election of Senators. That part was changed with one of the amendments.

Read the Constitution sometime. It can be changed, it HAS been changed (27 or so times, to be exact), and it probably will be changed again before all is said and done. That's what Amendments do. Look it up.

  • @Redward652 No you stupid asshole, thats not a change thats an amendmend.

That didnt change anything regarding election of senators that was an *addition*, as in *in addition to*.

In any event you little retard, there is nothing in The Constitution that mandates health care, in fact the government imposing its will on the citizens is unConstitutional. But you can keep sidestepping that issue because I know a gutless braindead coward like you sleeps better that way.

  • @ThunderAppeal

First off, insulting someone shows you have lost the arguement.

Secondly, again, I did NOT mention healthcare. This arguement is not about healthcare. Shut up about healthcare.

Thirdly, to amend means to change after the creation. It does not mean to add specifically, as the 12th, 17th, and 21rst Amendments actually replace parts of the Constitution. The 12th Amendment changed how presidents are elected, the 17th changed the election of Senators, and the 21rst re-legalized beer.

  • @Redward652 'Re-legalized beer.' LOL. That was an amendment to retract an earlier amendment which had *nothing* to do with anything in The Constitution to begin with.

Again, there is *NOTHING* in the Constitution that mandates health care or ANY OTHER GOVERNMENT PROGRAM THAT FORCES AN AMERICAN CITIZEN TO TAKE PART IN SUCH A PROGRAM. THAT IS IN ITS VERY ESSENCE UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Keep side stepping the issue if it helps you sleep better at night.

  • @Redward652 You know what. Youre right.

  • @dmmartinez9 Youre a 30 year old moron. Rewrite what in The Constitution you idiot.

  • @k1a1t1h1y1 I seriously doubt it, what with the sedition act.

  • @k1a1t1h1y1 He will stand up in his grave and salute when he sees the bastardation of his nation soon.........DEFEATED!

  • @salinagrrrl69 let us hope so:)

  • @salinagrrrl69

On that day--On January 20, 2012, God-willing--may we all, as a nation, stand up and sing:

    Firm...united let us be!

    Rallying round our liberty!

    As--a--band--of brothers joined--

PEACE AND SAFETY WE SHALL FIND!!!

And on that day...may our Founding Fathers smile down from Heaven upon us....

  • @RushLimborg till that day.....courage and true hope

  • @salinagrrrl69

    Amen.

  • @k1a1t1h1y1 I'm sure the creator of the Alien and Sedition acts would be super-upset about people not following the Constitution.

  • @mixmastermind Excellent point, though wasn't he reluctant to pass those acts? I am not trying to defend them by any means, but there was a greater context to his signing them into law/...

  • @Fropals1 He was reluctant to pass them, and he mostly did by the urging of his cabinet.

  • @k1a1t1h1y1

John Adams would've been disgusted by the populism so endemic in modern politics...

  • @Linkster2o Wasn´t the boston teaparty the event that led to the declaration of independence really populistic?? If you study the founding fathers they are really populistic !!

  • @k1a1t1h1y1 Yes, brother. But let us not neglect to acknowledge what Mr. Adams would have done if he would have seen the technology, the advances, the trials, and obsticals we have encountered, as a nation, and endured....

  • @k1a1t1h1y1 John Adams is rated as one of the least constitutional presidents in history due to the alien and sedition act. The act was designed by the federalist congress. This is a statement of fact not an attack on John Adams. He, like the other founders were flawed heroes.

  • Who plays the guy singing? He's pretty damn good. His voice and accent is naturally epic in this scene.

  • One of the best parts of the series. Much better then our current national anthem.

  • I totally agree that it's one of the best parts of the series! :) I do like the song, but I really love our national anthem. This song is very melodious, though--perfect for the time it was made in.

Thank you for the comment! :D

  • This is about the only moment I can recall where everyone is all united FOR Adams. The series portrays him as someone most people don't really like, except for his wife and George Washington and occasionally Franklin and Jefferson.

  • Yeah, it was so nice when the people were finally rallying around John. About time he got some appreciation! Too bad it didn't last for long during his presidency.

  • @believinginluv He was a damn good President. What he did was best for our nation and people were so blind as to not see it. Good Job, President Adams.

  • @ PatrickJohn0709, you are so right! John was such a great prez; I wish we had more politicians like him today.

  • The other verses that aren't included here are even better. There is a great one that is all about George Washington.

  • I looked it up again since you mentioned it, and you're right! Those other verses are so patriotic! LOL, I could just imagine Adams getting jealous over the Washington verse, though. XD

  • @Crazydog7 unless the logic of their opinion makes 2+2=5 sound reasonable.

  • Huzzah!

My favorite scene of the whole series =)

  • Thank you for the comment! It's one of my favorite scenes, too. :)

  • If you watch this again, every camera angle is excellent. A lot of interesting angles.

    Plus, a 15 star U.S. flag.

  • You're so right about the angles. I didn't notice the fifteen star flag before; that's pretty cool!

  • This serie is the best ever, and this is the best moment of it

  • I couldn't agree more. :)

  • A true epic!

  • The biggest of all! "Three cheers for our President!" *large eyes*
