I was a kid in Liverpool watching Sally - she was an absolutely brilliant role model and athlete. Now my kids are growing and one of them is a young athlete I tell her about Sally Gunnell always - a real lady, no drugs, no big head, just talent delivered with class.
Damn right she is. And she could have achieved so much more had she not picked up that injury. Still an incredible career though. Awesome, awesome lady. She inspired me so much when I was a kid.
