I got differnt mood when I replay this video over and over again. Its like a mysterious story or an ancient legend by the sea. Sam has wonderful Performance, as always!
Dear Sam, thank you for introducing this wonderful and very interesting composer to us. His music is very sublime. And your playing is wonderful as always. More composers should write pieces for you. - Athan
The music is available from the composer, Marek Pasieczny. He has a channel on YT. User name TrustNooooo! There is a link under my video - click "show more." Also, a link to Marek's website. The collection is well worth buying! 30 great pieces! Thanks for listening and best wishes, :-sam
What a beautiful piece and brilliant, expressive performance. Your description and Josie's images makes it even more intriguing. I had a great 3 minutes here.
Two beautiful stories - the musical one you played and that one in the description. I agree with you, sometimes we take our lifes much too important... Aren´t we all on a journey, surching...hoping...trying to find the best way... and sometimes taking the wrong one?
Spreading this music definitely is the right one. I love how you give the notes the time they need.
Marek is a very interesting musician/guitarist/ performer. I hope you enjoy watching/listening to him.
I guess we can never really know that we have taken the wrong way - since we don't actually have the experience of having taken it! It could have actually been worse :))) Well, that's my philosophy for day!
nice to listen again to this magical piece. What do you think - will I already be able to play this or is it still too difficult for my level? This music really hypnotises me...
I like your philosophy :)... surely makes life easier :))
Yes! You could play this. I learnt it in 2 days. Still working on the expression but the notes fall under the hand very nicely. Marek told me this was the most challenging piece in the collection so I think you would find Travels a very worthwhile addition to your music library! There are 30 pieces!
This is really moving, it cheers me up a lot. I left home to study guitar in the UK now... I am always feeling insecure and worried. Weird enough, by discovering music like this calms me down!
Hi Sam, thanks for the wonderful introduction to this fine composer (Introduction for me, that is.) I depend on great musicians such as yourself to educate me to such compositions. We can all thank YT for punching through the politics that once controlled who and what music was heard. I will certainly listen to Marek's other compositions.
I love this piece, Marek is one of my favourite composers and performers! Indeed, it is strange listening to his music without seeing him doing all his magical movements around the instrument :) I missed nothing of your performance though, you are playing as calm as the Buddha that used to sit behind you instead of the crocodile. Josie's pictures are always very special, she clicks a soul into the camera with each picture.
The background info is also interesting, I hope you are happy now!
Marek is my most favourite guitarist on YT. He is very fascinating to watch - he reminds me of a giant butterfly hovering over the guitar and sweeping the music from the strings! His music is also wonderful to play and I would recommend these pieces for any young guitarist's repertoire ;))) There is much to learn from this music. I had only played this piece for 2 days so I was not feeling very Bhudda-calm but concentrating VERY hard :) I will study it some more...
Josie's pics are just perfect! And her new Smallman is not bad either :))) You asked if I am happy now...yes, I am happy but I will be even happier when the guitar world wakes up and realises how special Marek is and he receives the acclaim and rewards he deserves (and needs so he can continue to write such wonderful music!) And that crocodile....just remember - the bigger the pond the bigger the crocodiles.... Thanks and best wishes, :-sam
