once a plant has been pick'd, it begins to lose nutrients and enzymes within minutes and hours. when it loses it's nutrient saturation, you're left with a low nutrient to calorie ratio which will leave you feeling nutrient deprived, thus, people have to lightly cook their foods to release more nutrients from the cell walls of the plant to get the full feeling of having well nourish cellular functions.
for those who would like to go 100% raw will have a diet composition of food you can forge from where they grow in conditions free of chemical contaminants in natural environments, or have their own organic garden where they select the food they eat within that given moment.
Yuri, I have tried going primarily raw and my body is rebelling like crazy. I have a hard time feeling satiated. Some has said load up on bananas but that seems a little nuts. Any thoughts?
Try some starchier fruit like bananas, mangos, papaya, and others. You can put together some great smoothies that will keep you going for longer than you can imagine.
I'm a new runner, and carb-loading seems pretty important the week leading up to a marathon from everything I've read. I only eat complex carbs, like 100% whole wheat bread, and other similar foods, to help me keep my energy while running. What is a good raw substitute, for just my longer day runs?
I've been a vegan for three years, and recently I've realized being healthier is one of the best ways to advocate for the animals, otherwise people will think we all look emaciated. Hah.
