I have 3 yaks. I installed 5 of the 444 bases. The 1 1/4 bit and 5/16. Perfect. Drops right in with a little push. Water tight. 1/4 inch tollerence is sloppy.
I'm sorry to report that I fallowed your instructions to the letter !! The 1 3/8 hole and 3/8 hole is to large. My first install was very sloppy. I filled the gap with silicone. Hopefully this will not be a problem. The correct hole sizes were on the back of the package. Guess I should have read them first. 1 1/4 and 5/16 is correct. Perfect fit. You might want to redo this Video !!
@FlatHeadFletch Sorry to hear you had problems with the install. We use that bit size so it slides right in with out having to screw the base in. If you make a clean cut/hole it works for us. Sounds like you might have rocked the drill bit when drilling?
Thanx !! One more question ! Do the Roberts rod holders work in a Scotty mt. Or do the Scotty rod holders work in a Roberts mt. I heard they only worked one way or the other. Doesn't make sense to me !! ? Once again ! Thanx for your time and efforts !!
Thanx guys ! I bought the Stealth 14 from y'all and am going to mount a couple of these right behind the seat between the factory rod holders and the seat. I was wondering how much drag pressure that area can handle without deforming the yak. And should I make a much larger backing plate to allow more pressure ????
@FlatHeadFletch You should have no problems installing the 444's there. It can never hurt to use a backing plate-especialy if you were to use this mount for trap pulleys or something?
My bad 1/8 inch tolerence is sloppy.

@FlatHeadFletch Roberts will not work with Scotty mount-but Scotty will work with Roberts.
