I would say the most blighted projects in Atlanta would be Techwood, University Homes and Herndon Homes- BEFORE renovations, Perry Homes, Carver, Capitol, and East Lake Meadows. If you're talking about the apartments around Benning Dr, Circle Dr, and Baker Plaza, then you're wrong. Techwood Homes was much more physically deteriorated than those apartments. There can be no question as to which apartment was more dangerous either, as Techwood was considered the most dangerous project in America by congress before it's demolition. They look big though, but not as big as Perry Homes- the largest housing development in the Southeast. Perry was about 3x that size.

I would say the worst projects in Atlanta were Techwood/Clark Howell, East Lake Meadows and the great Perry Homes. Perry Homes was the size of Bowen Homes, Bankhead, and Hollywood Ct put together. I took like 10 mins to drive through it. That is why it was the largest housing project in the Southeast. Look in my favorites "True Westside Story" that is Perry H.

Well take into consideration the size of the police precinct.... compare it with others throughout the country. Zone 3 consisted of 11 different housing projects in a small area. Also some of the most dangerous neighborhoods: Mechanicsville, Pittsburgh, Summerhill, Thomasville, Lakewood Heights, etc.... I know it's hard to swallow and it's impossible to know for sure but it's easy to believe if you know about those neighborhoods and the projects it consisted of.

No so much really... all the projects have pretty much been torn down. Atlanta's largest and most violent gangs are mostly a thought of the past. The diablos are all pretty much dead or locked up- so I hear, and the Down by Law folks from EAstlake Meadows aren't doin too much. This younger generation with the reckless mentality fucked shit up. I'll freestyle some info in your message box, but I'll need some time to collect.

its just good to talk to some true A-TOWN niggas...im from East Point, but my pops whole family from the west(Dixie Hills, Carrie Park off Bankhead) so i always fucked around on the westside and my kid moms from JBN zone 3 so i started fucking around on Cleveland Ave,Jonesboro North and Lakewood Village.. That "es4800" dude making C-town look bad. He know damn well Baker Village don't compare to them projects in the "A". And Baker Village was awful don't get me wrong. They shut Baker High School down back in the early 90's. It was a real live Eastside High (Lean on Me). But it don't compare to Techwood, Perry Homes, East Lake Meadows or the other rough jects in the A.

I agree that the n.o. projects (different architectural style) look more deteriorated then most of Atlanta's. I would say the most blighted projects in Atlanta would be Techwood, University Homes and Herndon Homes- BEFORE renovations, Perry Homes, Carver, Capitol, and East Lake Meadows. I also want to through in Louisville Homes in Marietta- check them out. Champ, you're right about the topic being foolish though, none the less, I still I love the topic .

The n.o.'s got the worse now but not for long because they are tearing down all there projects now. The melphomene is probably the only bad looking one standing now. magnolia and caliope are torn down I'm pretty sure. Detroit has highrise buildings so you can't really compare them to Atlanta's because our highrise developments are mostly for the senior citizens. Barge Rd is my favorite. I honestly believe that no single neighborhood in Georgia looks worse than English Ave aka "The Bluffs"

Its only 2 cities in GA that go hard as the A and thats Savannah and Macon. Columbus and Augusta straight but they cant quite keep up (no diss) and they jects aint half as bad, not even close, i dont give a shit what they may "look" like (no diss) Bowen Homes aint ever looked that bad to me on the outside, and they probably the most dangerous projects in georgia still standin.

If you're talking about the apartments around Benning Dr, Circle Dr, and Baker Plaza, then you're wrong. Techwood Homes was much more physically deteriorated than those apartments. There can be no question as to which apartment was more dangerous either, as Techwood was considered the most dangerous project in America by congress before it's demolition. They look big though, but not as big as Perry Homes- the largest housing development in the Southeast. Perry was about 3x that size.

Baker Village looked rough though, no lie. The projects in Colombus all looked the same- similar to Capitol Homes and Grady Homes. I would say the worst projects in Atlanta were Techwood/Clark Howell, East Lake Meadows and the great Perry Homes. Perry Homes was the size of Bowen Homes, Bankhead, and Hollywood Ct put together. I took like 10 mins to drive through it. That is why it was the largest housing project in the Southeast. Look in my favorites "True Westside Story" that is Perry H.

Yeah, you really can't see much but it had similar architecture to your cities projects. It was located in zone 1 on Perry Blvd. Those fools controlled the Westside. They made folks in Bowen, Hollywood, and Bankhead watch their conduct.

I would say because West Atlanta is worse than East Atlanta. I would like to see stats on the 3 projects. I feel like the Techwood/Clark Howell connect was too strong, but I couldn't say which was worse between Perry and Eastlake. I think it's all relative to which side you grew up on- Eastside or Westside.

It's one of the smaller projects but don't let the looks deceive you. Hollywood Court goes hard. They used to beef with Holly Ridge and Bowen Homes.
