1: If the first soldier would have seen two red berets he would have known that his was black. Because hi didn't knew it means that the 2 berets hi saw were black and red or both black.
2: The second soldier knew that the 2 berets must be black and red or both red. If he would have seen the beret before him was red he would have known that his must be black.
Because he didn't knew it means that the beret he saw was BLACK
lol i saw the vedeo read descrption saw that copy pasters comment and didnt get it so i made a chocolate sandwich and i clocked that if there were 2 red and 3 black berets the guy at back would have looked at the two at front and if htere were 2 red at front then he would of said black but he said i dont no wich means that at least one of the two at front where wearing black beret and the middle sodier said he doesnt no so that emans that the person in the frint was wearong black and he was red
Answer: Soldier 1 knew his beret was BLACK based from the answers of Soldiers 2 and 3!
HOW: If S3 saw S1 and S2 both wearing red berets, he could say he wore black (given 2 Red and 3 Black berets were there). But his answer ruled out that possibility. Upon hearing that, S2 could have assumed his own beret was black, IF S1 wore red (to be parallel w S3's claim that both S1 and S2 weren't wearing red); however, S2 said he didn't know. That leaves S1 wearing a BLACK BERET!
wow, same answer.. ahahaha. well thanks for the answer... if you havn't yet please subscribe.. thanks... are my puzzles like online? is there like a walk through?

The first soldier doesn't know what the color of his beret is he *can Guess* which means hes allowed to. The Major said he gets to guess so he said I can guess the color of my beret. This is a trick question. You have to take this word word.
In simple
Major said he gets to guess it if he does he passes. The 2 in the back don't know. But the first one thought it through and and guess like the major said.
there's no trick question, no mirrors, no word for word thing. three soldiers trying to know the color of their beret. the first one who tried said that he couldn't tell (the guy at the back) the second guy tried couldn't tell as well. (guy in the middle) BUT the last guy in front knew what his beret was after picking blindfolded. So the question again is, how did he know, and what color is his beret?
Here is some thing you actually cannot answer unlike this. Why is a raven like a writing desk

I numbered the soldier in order they responded.
