  • does anyone have a torrent for this movie?

  • they really changed this version up a lot.. but some of the change was good though, like making Scrooges life more like Charles Dickens life, that was pretty neat! but they totally failed with the ghost of Christmas yet to come...

  • In spite of the fact that Grammer is not the ideal Scrooge (George C. Scott is that for me), this is my favorite version of "A Christmas Carol" because of the excellent score, lyrics, and vocal performances.

  • HUGE like =D

  • Is the ghost Geraldine Chaplin ?

  • If you look up "miscast' in the dictionary, there's a photo of Kelsey Grammar in this movie. If you look up "dreary, lifeless adaptation of a classic story that's been filmed so much better elsewhere", there's a photo of this movie.

  • @PeterMartin1981 Well, I guess Charles Dickens book is so good that no movie version can't be really completly awful, no matter how wrong cast/director etc. is...

  • I loved it

  • I can't believe how many people hate this version of A Christmas Carol. It certainly isn't the very best version of the story (that honour goes to the George C. Scott version) but I like it.

  • This was a beautiful musical but the 1970 version Scrooge with Albert Finney will always be the best.

  • @ddd62291 I agree esp. since I saw it at Radio City on a 5th grade school trip.

  • @Marianne1379 I grew up watching it along with Home Alone, the Muppet Christmas Carol & Christmas Vacation. There's not a Christmas where I haven't watched it

  • what iz dat song that the little girl sang?

  • This is beautiful

  • The only best thing about this movie was Ruthie Hensell (sp)..everything else seem to fast and fake.

  • Beautiful<3

  • God Bless Us Everyone

  • What is the name of the song? :)

  • WARNING

You can watch the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come if you are extremely hyper, or your brain could literaly melt.

At 1:56 the Ghost has a evil face.

  • I've heard this song around 2700 times and just can't get enough of it. It is so touching and absolutely beautiful!

  • Great song ! Just beautiful !

  • ahhhhhhhhhh nicexx

  • what's the title of this song?

  • Comment removed

  • Kelsey Grammer's solo just before this is beautiful...shame that isn't on YouTube too. Love this musical, thank for the upload! :-)

  • Is that Kelsey Grammar as Scrooge?

  • god bless us everyone

  • This song is so beautiful it made me cry :'D

  • I wish to make some minor correction: Star by star in the sky "and kindness by human kindness"

  • Let the stars in the sky remind us of mans compassion, let us love till we die and god bless us everyone. In your heart there's a light as bright as a star in heaven, let it sine through the night and god bless us everyone. Till each child is fed, till all men are free, till the world becomes a family. Star by star in the sky reminds us of human kindness, let me love till I die and god bless us everyone.

  • @yourm8drew actually star by star n the sky and kindness by human kindess ( not reminds us of human kindness...) =) anyway, love this song for christmas!!!

  • @nicholofrancis Yeah, I'm sorry but I pulled the lyrics from the people themselves, it is let the stars in the sky remind us of human kindness untill the last verse, then it changes.

  • Is this the musical with Menken's songs?

  • sry for repeat ^_^! oops

  • @ArthurConanDoyleFAN thanks you very much. :D

and you don't need to say sorry btw :D

    merry christmas! :D

  • Let the stars in the sky remind us of mans compassion, let us love till we die and god bless us everyone. In your heart there's a light as bright as a star in heaven, let it sine through the night and god bless us everyone. Till each child is fed, till all men are free, till the __________ family. Star by star in the sky reminds us of human kindness, let me love till I die and god bless us everyone.

that's as much as i could understand, feel free too fill in the blank. TY =)

  • @ArthurConanDoyleFAN I think it's "till the world becomes a family" :)

  • @iluvrandomness well, it fits, thanks for finishing the lyrics to the song

i feel like i'm doing "don't forget the lyrics" LOL :)

  • what's the lyrics! please!

  • @sandalinalang13

Let the stars in the sky remind us of mans compassion, let us love till we die and god bless us everyone.

In your heart there's a light as bright as a star in heaven, let it sine through the night and god bless us everyone.

Till each child is fed, till all men are free, till the __________ family.

Star by star in the sky reminds us of human kindness, let me love till I die and god bless us everyone.

cant hear what they're saying for that part. feel free to fill the blank. TY =)

  • Yes. It brings tears to my eyes! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • Does this make anyone else bawl like a baby?

  • kelsey grammer is brilllent singer!!!

  • what year whas this movie released?

  • both mother and sister died

to answer the post at the bottom -- the ghost was showing them what the future could hold -- mother and sister as ghosts would surely be waiting for him when he passes at his funeral and this is how Ebenezer remembered them -- he saw them last when his father was sent to a debtor (poorhouse) prison and his sister went to live with a relative and Scrooge went to work at a young age to pay for his keep

  • I tear up every time I see this. So fricken amazing.

  • Can u upload the link by link song? all i can find is it as a play! :(

  • Seems less scary then how the original story gose

  • My school's doing this for our Christmas show and I'm playing the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. I'm soooo excited, especially after seeing this vid :DD

  • @raspberrypearlvoice MUA HA HA HAve fun!

  • Very nice Christmas Musical unfortunately give no German version, but I got myself the DVD now from England :-) very good

  • Best. Scrooge. Ever.

  • can someone uplod this movie or tell me where i can watch it

  • Does anyone know where to download this song? I heard it a few years ago and the melody is still stuck in my head! :)

  • What are his mother and sister doing in Christmas-yet-to-come at the same age as Christmas past, when Ebenezer is supposed to die because of old age?

  • This Ghost of Christmas-Yet-to-come is a very unique interpretation.

  • @AliaSparrow Yes, indeed! :)

  • @AliaSparrow

Unique yet uninspiring. It doesn't capture the death and desolation that is the future for Scrooge.

  • What kind of Ghost of Christmas Yet-to-come is that??

  • has anyone got the full movie download on you tube

  • the most stupid adaptation!!!!!!

  • This is my favorite song it repeats 2 times "Up to the highest star bring human kindness let me love till I die and GOD BLESS US EVERY ONE!!!!!!".

  • @dawngoth20 I too love the line-Let Me Love Till I Die -. Good thought.

  • this song is beautiful

  • I love Albert Finney

  • aww I LOVE this story! I keep rying to catch this on the Hallmark channell but I just catch this part.....such a tear jerker!

what's this song called, anyway? I would so put it on my I-Pod!

thanks for putting this video online, I was excited to see it!

  • the song's called god bless us everyone,i shud know, i worked backstage in this play

  • wow i bet you had a great time working backstage :) this musical i thought was corny at first but the more i watched it the mroe i realized the great message it sends (and its accuracy to the book) and now this version is one of my favorites.

  • God Bless Us Everyone

  • @tmh726 The song is called "God bless us everyone". I really love it too.

  • I always get teary eyes when Scroges sister and mother enter the fray of singers it makes one feel warm and fuzzy.

  • *Scrooges

lol my O button likes to stick on me sometimes

  • The little girl also represents hope and the spark of good that resides in Scrooge (like a conscience). At least that's my interpretation of the little girl.

  • Ratdogace--I agree.

  • mistercool000 I guess you still didn't listen to me when I said don't be sour. From the looks of your comment you wrote back to me, you still don't understand.

  • i dont think all the people are dead but rather are (or represent) people who have been wronged by him in the past not having any compassion to their situations.

  • The reason why that part when the grave started cracking open was alittle scary for me because I thought something was trying to get out and suck Scrooge into his deadly end.

  • The part where the grave started to break open was scary to me.

  • Who's the girl who starts singing? Also, are all of the singers dead, cause i heard that the two people at 1:18 are his mother and sister ( who you hear of earlier to be dead)

  • The girl who starts singing is the little girl in the beginning of the movie. She is the daughter of Mr. Smythe, who owes Scrooge back payments on a loan, but he had to pay for his wife's funeral, so he couldn't pay, yet Scrooge demanded the account be paid up, plus interest. She had been walking with the procession of the funeral when she stopped and started to sing this to him, before her father urged her on.

  • I could but I don't have it on dvd or VHS :(

  • At 1:18 is his mother and sister, who we saw when he visited Christmas past. I love this musical.

  • Comment removed

  • Who are the people that he sees and almost starts crying at 1:18 ?!!

  • Love this show. The songs are great too!

  • I love this musical. I worked on a production of it and it was a great Christmas for me

  • im jewish and this is my favorite christmas story out there. this story shows that anyone that follows a diffrent religion can still enjoy christmas

  • I thought that the ghost of christmas yet to come was supposed to wear a black cloak with a hood

  • i love jim carey and all the mouvies with him...10 stars

  • LMAO!! FRASIER!! =0=)

  • yup lol my teacher highlighted that when we watched it

  • very touching.

  • I was wondering, who is that little girl?

  • I think she's just a random girl at the funeral

  • That is Gracie, Mr Smythes daughter. Her mother died. The other one is Fan. Scrooges sister

  • Thanks for telling me.:)

  • For those asking, this dvd is available at Amazon for less than $10. It's really worth it. The sets are amazing, and Jason Alexander's "Link by Link" scene is great.

    Have a Merry Christmas!

  • Frasier!

  • Wat the name of this song

  • where can i get the movie???? love the clips i have seen

  • Doing this for our Studio Fall Performance. Second time with the show and very different! Love these songs and ideas!

  • i love this movie!! my school is doing this version for their all-school musical, and it's being performed a few weeks before the disney version is released in theatres. can't wait to see them both!!!

  • I would love to see this entire movie. I love Kelsey Grammer, and I also love almost every adaptation I've ever seen of "A Christmas Carol".

  • I really do think this television program is destined to become a classic. These things take a while.

  • upload the marley scene!

  • @JoshVlogs If you mean "Link by Link" there are several versions of it on Youtube already. Just put link by link in the search.

  • @ThePacamacman2001 Thanks

  • Hey a saw a clip from the same musical on youtube a couple of months ago, where Marley appears for scrooge, but I can't find it.... Any ideas anyone?=P

  • Does anyone know were you can see the whole movie??

  • whooooo! kelsey grammer!!! =D

  • Can u please put up the Link By Link song, it was my favorite?

  • this is sooo the best version of the christmas carol there is.

  • This is really good. I like Kelsey Grammer.

  • My elementary school had to sing this in a concert once, and i do believe we did it justice...the girl in our elementary school who sang that very high part had great pipes :]

  • more please

  • i like this song very much....it's lyric is quite meaningful^^....

  • The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come is supposed to be mysterious being, in black robes, etc, like in the story, this movie jacks it up.

  • lol,ye it supose to be like a reaper

  • Yeah, I really dislike the lady in white idea. It's especially awkward when she flies over him and throws the sheet/her dress on his face. It's kind of funny, after she does you can see her legs dangling in mid-air.

  • Tão bom, quanto o filme...

  • is that Fraiser?

  • i think so

  • is that kelsey grammar?

  • yes indeed.

  • omg! this is the christmas carol movie i saw like 3 years ago and i havnt seen it since and i wasnt sure which one it was! I NEED it! im pbbly gonna just end up renting it from blockbuster or something...

  • This is the first I've heard of a 'musical' I'm going to have to look into this, it looks stunning.

  • Also, check out the earlier film musical, titled "Scrooge the Musical" with Albert Finney as Scrooge. It was made in 1970, and is on DVD now.

  • this version was simply beautifull !

  • sir, with all the respect I could have for you, go fuck yourself. This is beautiful.

  • you meant hat in a good way right? the shit is a term that can be used as awesome, so i assume you mean this rox, right?

  • hey Bogzy1989, if it's pagan than why are you watching Christmas clips?

  • i saw this in school today and i fell alseep it is so so so so so so so so boring

  • Because mistercoo1000 you don't understand the beauty in this musical, you're so busy looking for up beat stuff. Try finding your way into seeing how this story can touch you, if you give it a chance, don't be sour. I know boring and that movie wasn't boring.

  • :/ there is something called ur OPINION

  • I totally agree, noway is this film boring.

Kelsey Grammer is the best portrayal of Scrooge that I have ever seen. I watch it over and over again. I just love the whole film, it is great.

  • oh wow whysoserious1979.

they worked so hard on this master piece, and all you can do is badly spell shit? insert 10 cents and try again asshole.

by the way a very "creative username". yeah never heard that before.

  • Love how this movie is true to the New York stage musical. I was actually in it one year singing this song as an angel

  • i watched this movie a week ago at literature class

  • can anyone tell me the tittle of this song?

i wan to download !!! please tell me T_T

  • god bless us everyone

  • you should that Christmas is pagan tradition.

    Mark 7:7

  • Why do people take something from the Bible and make it into their own interpretation. If you knew what Mark 7 said, you would know it was Jesus answering questions asked by Pharisees and teachers, and Mark 7:7 was part of his response referring to his disciples

  • that song makes me cry so beautyful

  • wooh.brr.

  • Every time I hear this song, I tear up. It's my favorite! *sobs*

  • is this for sale on dvd anywhere please?

  • its awesome!

  • im playing in the chirstmas carol as fezziwig tommorow thurs friday and saturday in pissing my self lol

  • Break a leg! I'm sure you'll be great!

  • I'm going to see A Christmas Carol in Rhode Island in a few weeks. I'm so excited! :D

  • I went ther it is SO good I want to see it again

  • What a great actor Kelsey Grammer!!!

  • Cripes! I thought that was Harry Enfield about to burst into a skit on the great classic. Chirrup Ebenezer!

  • This version of A Christmas Carol is showing at the Harbor Playhouse down here in Corpus Christi. I'm doing the lights:)

  • This scene gives me the chills too. And this song is just amazing!

  • also the song at the end " What A Day, What A Sky" is good could u dowload it?

  • could you please post up the song nothing to do with me? This song is apart of the movie.

  • OMG the orphans gave me the chills!!

  • v=OKAms5xr7os

How Dickens came to write A Christmas Carol

  • I took my son for 9 years since it opened at MSG in NY when he was 4 until it closed.Like saying good bye to an old friend. We never got to the last season and my son has never let me forget it! If anyone out there knows who to contact at Madison Square Garden to bring this wonderful Christmas tradition back, please let me know!! The movie is great, but the live performance was AWESOME! The entire theatre was transported to the time of Dickens. Any other fans out there?

  • great film great song!!!

  • a great film!

  • this story tells us what Christmas is all about.
