@nondescriptnyc I think one of the most handsome was Ondreg Nepela.I am trying to find his skate from the 1971 Worlds. It's on Y T but I can't locate it.
@HattieLovesCattie Thanks for your notes about Nepela on multiple occasions--and I think we already got your point (Boy, beauty is REALLY in the eye of the beholder...). There is no need to keep on commenting on Nepela out of context. Maybe you can make your comments on a Nepela clip??? Thanks.
@nondescriptnyc I am entitled to my opinion on Nepela.I only saw the video of him on YT once from the 1971 Worlds and I can't find it now.I am sure its being blocked because some videos aren't allowed to be seen by Americans for some odd reason.
@nondescriptnyc I just find that tape I was looking for of Nepela's free prog from the 1971 Worlds.I came across it and later couldn't find it coz it listed under a name with many skating tape so here it is!!! You need to wait a few secs. for the skate to show up.If you can find it here, its listed on this site under men,the 1970's.
Thank you SO much for posting - what a wonderful chance to see why Dick Button is truly the King of figure skating, as Henie is the Queen - he was really amazing - his speed, the hight and power of his jumps and spins and even the tremendous power in simple back cross-overs - Wow!
I think someone posted that this ice area used in the 1952 games now has a hotel on it.

Many say Vladimir Kovalev is the handsomest male skater of all times, but Dick comes pretty close to the top! Wow.

@nondescriptnyc I think Ondrej Nepela was the best looking. He was very handsome at the '71 Worlds but not as good looking when he won in Sapporo.

Wonder where that ice rink is that Dick skated on?Probably some field that was flooded outside of Oslo.
