even though this horror game shocks me alot I still love the theme made for the laviathan because ov the dark symphonic elements that fits the boss battle with that amazing ancient feel besides just having the horrorfying theme from gameplay being used in boss battles like what doom3 had(which I bowed never to play again in my entire life), they were just nothing with horror, this game brings horror to it's finest, but regardless I wont play it even if this and 2 are great

I've recently beat the Leviathan on my first run through of Dead Space, It was quite an epic boss battle, though i found the Zero-G running upside down thing a little disorienting. Does anyone else get a bit lost in Zero-G?

BTW I'm 20 and I find that game scary. I love playing that game at midnight with no lights on, the athmosphere is just incredible =) Wouldn't that game be boring if it wasn't scary for me?? Not too sure what ure asking but if uve read the comic series, watched the movie, or played abit of the game u would know there are these flying things called infecters that inject something into corpses, as to where they came from Im guessing from the weird bactirea growth.

the necromorphs are caused by infection from free floating dna released by some sort of bacteria. the 'bats' are some sort of form created out of dead tissue from infected humans that allow for a more 'pure' infection by directly injecting the bacteria into dead corpses

it comes from the text logs found in the game. the suicides and murders are actually caused by the marker, not the infection. also, if you look closely at the 'bats,' you can see that they'r made out of a human torso. if the bats caused all of the infection, all of the necros would have that black, glowing orange eye look about them.

the gov't did. they reverse engineered it from the original marker on earth. im not exactly sure why... something to do with bio warfare, but im not sure. the original marker is of alien origin. you see, the marker is actually sentient, and it is what compells you to put it back on the planet. as for the original, i'd imagine it's sort of like those monoliths in 2001 a space odyssey, and probly serves some sort of simillar purpose (p.s. the runes on the marker are the bacteria's genetic code)
