I gotta throw my hat in the ring for AC/DC here.... like others have said when it comes to the band and touring and being true to the band among all other things... they are solid... Look @ Steven Tyler going to Idol and doing other projects and really neglecting the band.. You won't find that with AC/DC ....
i think bon scott voice is way better that brian. I dont like brian in live performance he sounds Duffy Duck. 70's and 80's were good years for ACDC. i've always listened to acdc's songs but after an hour my ear gets tired listening of their same styles. if u really want more bad ass vocal check out nazareth's live performance (bad bad boy, vigilante man, son of a bitch) they must hav been more popular. Aerosmith has more talent more styles that makes me hard to easily get fed up.
maybe ACDC has more aggressive style of music but when it comes to voice i prefer Steven Tyler's Voice He proved his voice to fit to many kinds of song. Plus he is known to be the Demon of Screaming I don't think Acdc's frontman can hit that note!

Dude Looks Like A Lady is a great song, but not an example of Aerosmith. Better example would be Same Old Song and Dance or Dream on. These bands are well matched, both have great guitarists, singers (RIP Bon Scott), and music. I can't choose.
It is very hard to decide, because AC/DC and Aerosmith are both great rockbands. AC/DC's solos are might be a little bit more agressive than Aerosmith's. But how I said: It is very hard to decide. =)

@kalleskit Yes they are, Led zeppelin created hard rock, believe or not, it´s the first hard rock band in history, and Aerosmith is just a pop rock band obviosly famous, AC DC was so famous as Aerosmith, but now AC DC is more popular, but we aren´t talking about popularity, we´re talking about hard rock, and led zeppelin created hard rock, so is the hard rock father. I have read led zeppelin autobiography man, and many artists consider led zeppelin the father of hard rock and they´re right.

AC/DC opened for Aerosmith before and many people have said that people like AC/DC better and apparently Aerosmith got booed of the stage once because they couldn't put on as good a show as AC/DC. This was in the late 70s and I heard this from a first hand acount.

@dane21dc But ac/dc didnt become big until MTV & Mutt Lange did all the work for them in the early 80s. Without that they would have folded by 1983 & never been shit. LMAO!!!!!! Aerosmith however were huge well before ac/dc, by 1975-76.

Dude Looks Like A Lady is a great song, but not an example of Aerosmith. Better example would be Same Old Song and Dance or Dream on. These bands are well matched, both have great guitarists, singers (RIP Bon Scott), and music. I can't choose.
