I WAS THERE FEB 27 1980 NASSAU NY AND 15 AND ON 2 HITS OF L.S.D. YELLOW SUNSHINE , IT WAS A MIND BLOWER AND I LOVED EVER SECOND AND REMEMBER THE FULL SHOW UP MIDWAY SEATS AND A LIL HIGH SO IT WAS PERFECT VIEW OF THE INSANE PERFECTION AS IT UNFOLDED BEFORE MY YOUNG EYE'S AND TRIPPING MIND , I LOVE THE MEMORY OF IT ALL ! THA ACID WAS PURE AND GOOD AND INTENSIFRIED IT ALL , A TEAR FILLS MY EYE AT THE MEMORY , WISH I WAS THER NOW OR COULD HAVE A FULL BLOWN FLASHBACK , NOW THAT WOULD BE GREAT AL
"OKAY (OKAY,OKAY) JUST A LITTLE PINPRICK, THERE'LL BE NOMORE (AAAHHHHHH !!!!!!) BUTCHU' MAY FEEL A LITTLE SICK,CAN YOU STAND UP ? (STAND UP,STAND UP) I DO BELIEVE IT'S WORKINGGGG GUUHD,THAT'LL KEEP YOU GOING THRU THE SHOW,COME ON IT'S TIME TO GO"
Im glad to say i saw this spectical live. The show was light years ahead of anything else in that era. What i remember most was the clear clartity of the surround sound(A floyd trade mark) and the interaction with the effects. First and foremost these guys were superb artists and musicians who dared take live concerts to the highest possible plain. They were certainly the talk of town!
pink floy rules and you no why when you throw roger waters atmospheric voice rick wrights spacey keyboards masons drumming and gilmours legendary solo you cant go wrong
pulvis, wtf do you mean with the voice of waters?! Yeah, it's good of course, but what about gilmours? The chorus part of this song is probably the best singing i ever heard anyone performe
The audio that you're hearing from this video isn't from the same show that is shown in this video. That's why the solo Dave's playing is off from what the video is showing.
Because the audio is from their live album "Is There Anybody Out There" which was recorded from many various shows from the Wall tour. This video is from their performance at Earl's Court
it's just out of synch, and it's a great performance. a few 'comfortably numb' songs have the 'pink floyd' touch, some days they play it like this one: very slick, and sometimes it falls from the wall, but it's ok, IT'S PINK FLOYD!

@tjrtherocksponge I know that Waters uses playback sometimes, but only for artistic reasons and because he doesn't trust little kids to sing.

This is the best version, because as David sings, the crowd goes crazy.
misredkimmy 1 year ago
I think Dave sings it best on this version. Not to say he ever sings it poorly. But his voice sounds better then the recording here.

We need an official DVD of this. If they can remake Casablanca in 3D they can surely give us this one thing to have.

This is the best version of this song. The voice of Waters, the solo of Dave, the keyboards of Rick too. Perfection.

This has to be the greatest guitar solo of ALL times. No one else comes close to Gilmour.
