3 hours for a 2400mAh battery! If more battery adopted, I'm sure it can run for a longer time. Sony VGN-TZ37N adopts a 5800mAh battery, which claimed to last for 8 hours while it actually run out in 5 hours under typical circomstances, some reviews said! And you need to pay times the money for a Sony notebook than that for an OpenBook:)
It's free to choose that you prefered. As OpenBook is an open reference design, third party manufactures can provide us with more variations in the future.
I think the track pad looks a little small, but there isn't much room for a bigger one. Touch screens are the future in this form factor, or so I hope.
damn it. where's the nano chip?, its almost 2009 now.

Looks like VIA really gets it. I could have used one on the plane the other day. When can I get one?

Looks very interesting! VIA has a great product here and shows that you don't need to be a market leader to give the customers what they want.

Is there Isaiah version?
mousou01 3 years ago
I'm quite sure the next step of OpenBook will be a design with Isaiah microprocessor. My personal estimation is half or one year later.
BTW, the OpenBook looks much nicer than the previous Nanobook, in addition to several enhancements. Nice job, VIA!
