Hate to say this, but halo wars does have a save, not necessarily a checkpoint, but you can just load back the part u saved when you lose.

I must buy all Halo games before Halo: Reach but i dont have enough money to buy both Halo Wars, Halo 1: Combat Evolved and Halo: Reach. Maybe i can borow Halo Wars from a friend and then i may got money enoug to buy both Halo: Reach and Halo 1: Combat Evolved. Any way great review. :D
