Take away the lead and it's pretty much punk but played at a higher level of musicianship. I'm generalising. + Im not including lyrics. Im talking musically. I never said a punk bands DID play this kind of stuff. But if the lead guitarist of any Punk band played this kind of lead in the songs doesnt change the fact it's punk based music.
Like I said, it just depends on how Anal youre gonna be about what Punk music is.

A) If you want to be super anal it's Neo Classical, Pop Punk, Progressive Metal.
B) I listen to most of the guys you mentioned bar the robo-crap-o-netic John Petrucci...
C) To say this song, along with most tracks on this album, are not punk (power/pop punk) influenced is even more stupid than some one saying this song Doom Thrash : \
D) I never said this was propper punk. As In, UK Subs, Sex Pistols bla bla bla . . It's more Pop Punk than Punk based if were getting even more picky. = )

I suppose. But if it gives the chance for people to listen to it, its more likely to get him more sales any way. Hell ill probablly buy it now because of being able to listen to it.
2)its not like his going to starve, he all ways has his live shows, and the money from signature model, and all the "small merchandises" such as shirts and picks and crap. the guy is a millioner!
3)yes if there is a really good album you should buy it to help the band you like, but you cant really buy all of them. i have 30G of music on this pc, can you imagine what it would cost me. and thats beside the 112 albums that i actually paid for.
It's good you're going to buy it, but Paul isn't exactly a millionaire just cause he puts out a record. Do you know how long he's lived in an apartment despite being with Mr. Big, bunches of solo projects, and Racer X?
