if you are going to pick apples off a tree you dont climb the tree, you use a tall ladder....same with fire,,, being close gives the fire fighter the CONTROL he needs to do the job more defectively....i will go find a video and show u because u obviously didnt take my suggestion and go see how to fight car fires in Canada
hey guys on the fire truck,,,don't be whimps...learn how to fight a car fire... go youtube real firemen that now how to do it...START BE GETTING CLOSER for god sakes...good job with the camera work dude
@Videographer1234567 if you have any common sense you would realise that camper vans are likely to have gas bottles inside which tend to explode in fires! It seems to me that they made intelligent use of the fire engine and buildings as cover in case there were explosions.
@MrDavidr69 oh of course, my bad,,, lack of common sense on this end. Thats a typical Canadian for you. Its clear the guys on the hose were going to move in until the captain instructed them to stay back.
@Videographer1234567 what's the need to get close? There's no lives at risk...so why risk your own safety for a vehicle which is already destroyed? Safety over bravado and bragging rights any day.
Excellent fire crew! they all knew what to do and were putting out almost instantly while not getting too close to protect themselves from exploding tires and gas cylinders!
@mousie1132 yeah mate that may be the case but I'm trained I know what I'm talking about when the firefighters wearing BA approach the vehicle thats when they will find out if it is as you say modded. The crew wont know what the vehicle contains until they arrive mate and they see what make and model the vehicle is so then they'll know what to expect.
Worked as fire crew in various world conflicts and dealt with massive carparks filled with blazing vehicles. Pretty tough but survived to tell the tale.
I like how the booster hose is placed on that truck its really convient. Great attack all and all they got at it super quick ,went at it from 45 degrees and avoided the bumper. Great job guys.
they shouldve used the foam it was an oil based fire and the foam woild have been alot more effective and also one of the hose crew shouldve shouted Water on number 1 delivery!! sorry for being a troll lol its just i wanna do this as a career so im trying to spot mistakes and stuff so i wont make alot of mistakes
@TheMrBlackopsBoy- Bit of advice, being a firefighter isnt something you can learn on google. I dont mean this to be offencive however one of the best peices of infomaion you will get given at probie school is keep your head down and listen. Asking for water on from a delivery refers to hose line being charged from the pump which has a number of delivery's, one pump would not have the resources to make an attack with foam effective as they do not carry enough (if any) on a single appliance
@ADLSTODEO I love how you can criticise this fire crew in the way that you have and the way you have basically means you know fuck all about fire service operational procedures, there could have been LPG or Propane in that van , so if you really know shit all don't open your bloody mouth, Prick.
@CoreyM457 doubt it m8 most of these except the newer models r oli n petrol so unless its been modded for lpg or propane it was petrol n no one says blood mouth u prick
@CoreyM457 when propane is in a fire actuly you are suppose to dowse it in water for 24hr for it ti cool down properly and it dosent show any nake bottles
Haha you always get "Internet Firefighters" on videos like this, most of their experience is limited to playing on computer games or guessing. Guess what, its not Backdraft or Londons Burning...and geniune Firefighters wouldnt be so quick to criticise!
@ADLSTODEO what u on? "they not organised" "They spray and walk" how are they not organised you can clearly see they are well drilled as previously mentioned they took a little over 50 secs to get 1 x HRJ on & a 2nd on in under a min, pretty damn quick if you ask me and then both BA wearers took up defensive positions as contents of camper van unknown, it's not like the movies all Gung-Ho Inc Command has ensured that control measures are in place - main thing is all crew members come home alive
@ozakayababy1 - oh for fuk sake people please dont belive fakers like this. "im a pilot i fly for.."- on the plane videos "my dads flying that plane" and now you ! give it a fucking rest
with a car/camper fire you want wider fan on your hrj, even try using the flate legnth extra bit of make up time but gets the job done!
