I can CLEARLY here them saying, "there are cops in the building, we gotta go.. we gotta go" as they grab their jackets. It sounds like it is in response to the camera-man saying, "where is everyone going.... why is everyone running away?" Grow some balls if you want to protest otherwise stay home.

they ARE getting punished, its not as if they are hiding or running away. all they are doing is asking people to PETITION that charges be dropped, and that they are allowed to stay at the school and in their dorms.
Its obvious they knew the risks involved, the New School had something similar in december. I think this is brave to do something like this. I wish kids at MY college could must the courage to take a stand like those at NYU and the New School.

I don't know what a real capitalist society would be like. But America is hardly a meritocracy. Who are these heroically talented people who dominate American society? Movie stars? pop stars? These people are rewarded for marketing themselves, not for having talent. America rewards mediocrity.The average American's life is working in a cubicle or behind a cashier. There's a lot to love about America, but it doesn't make heroes out of the average consumer.
