Enjoyable! Even in the later years before Amtrak, we still had decent passenger service. Sad and ironic that our own government contributed to its decline with the taxpayer funded highway and airport building programs. Yet, ironically, Amtrak is expected to be self sufficient.
I never got to see any GM&O trains when i was little, saw a lot of PC and Chessie System trains and plenty of BN back in the early 70's. I do like the old F-units that the GM&O had.

that was e7's on the gm&o's midnight special train, the judge milton brown sleeping car on the rear is now at casey jones village in jackson tn

love them F-7 units what a cool locomotive. I rember the f-7's going through my hometown when i was a kid in the late 50's early 60's.
