The consensus of native ASL users who have seen this shameful video is that the little boy is actually a hearing imposter. He's not a native Auslan signer who learned how to speak and listen; he's faking being deaf. Of course, if I'm wrong, the Cora Barclay Centre is welcome to provide proof. But it looks like fakery to me.
Easy to understand? For whom? He will still struggle to understand when in a group of people, when everyone is excited & talking at lightening speed. They might understand him but will he understand them? It takes two to tango after all.
For me, his signing was painful to watch.. His cute face void of expression that would have made him far more cuter..

i know. his sign no expression. feel sorry for him. maybe good learn speak, but if learn speak don't forget Deaf culture and ASL express.
