  • i use bowflex i so like it . Its really cool.

  • I've been an elite trainer for 12 years! This is such a scam! The people in this video work their butts off in the gym and eat perfect, then get paid to say its Bowflex! Save ur money people, there is some fat rich guy smoking a cigar with ur money in his pocket!

  • @kyprios11 if you are a elite trainer you would compare this to other home gyms and home equipment, you can not compare a home gym to a full gym.....

You can easily hit every muscle group with this home gym, its for people who do not have the time to go to a gym.

  • I used to use the bowflex like you...then I took an arrow to the knee.

  • I got a bowflex online (used) for $100.00 and that's less then I could find free weights for and surprise the thing is fun and I'm loosing weight. Of course no-one will ever loose weight if they don't eat right, bottom line, anything you do to help your health good on ya!

  • NOW INTRODUCING BONERFLEX! This spin off from a popular exercising machine has ONE FOCUS! To make YOU flexible and powerful with your penis... For only $79.95 you can be fucking superman with the cheerleader you always wanted to deep six! GET FUCKING BONERFLEX TO EXPERIENCE A MUSCULAR ORGASM!!

  • haha compound movements with barbells and dumbells are much better than machines LOL dumb people who buy this stuff

  • @jtbeast85 compound movements are used to build the most amount of muscle and are good for people who want to put on weight. But for the people who want to get cut, the bowflex and other isolating movements work best. depends what your fitness goal is and what your diet plan is like

  • @sg72792 true true, My favorite alternative is to save the money and lift weights and do cardio. so i can build lean muscle, while doing cardio to get cut haha XD yeah diet is important, especially if you're a college student :o

  • only loser buy this home gym, real men and women go to gym.......if you scared to go to gym, embarassed go to gym, then youre a pussy...........

  • @hanifabidin90 what about single parents who do not have to time to go to a full gym. or if you work 10-12 hour days which i have at a point in time, after working so long you are too tired to go to the gym but you can put a 20 min workout from a home gym before taking a shower and going to bed its better then nothing.

One day when you have responsibilities you wont be talking so much shit.

  • 12 people cant handle bowflex

  • ahhhh the memories

  • this here is false advertising if I ever saw such a thing

  • Mine went off too but I am sleepy anyway bad boy DOD CI...

    Hollywood DOD CI...

You don't want me to get this....

Biker canvas sweat bad boy but pretty girl glisten...

  • I just got my bowflex. I love it.

  • Just got an old Bowflex xtreme and it works great. I use free weights for other things, but it has great resistance work outs. Funny how everyone talking sh*t about it can't spell for sh*t! Bunch of retards. Probably can't do the math on how to use carabiner hooks haha.

  • I got a bowflex from a girl whose boyfriend moved out and left it. Got it for a hundred bucks. It is nice and it works. Looks good in my weight room too. I would not have paid full price for one though. I agree with Martinxy4. Bowflex isnt a piece of crap but it isnt worth the high price tag. You can get the same if not better results with some free weights. Its all about using resistance. I have seen people that were well defined using simple calisthenics. Diet and resistance exersizes.

  • witch model is this ?

  • tredmills help loose weight good i have one

  • i'm buying one because i used to be 175lbs until i was put on some strong strong medication and gained 120 pounds.I have buddies who are personal trainers and all but i want to loose weight through a bowflex,i was thinking about getting the basic one "Bowflex® Classic Home Gym" i saw on the website.I will promise myself to eat healthy, sleep well, work out hard and be humble..

  • @1988scottcarey I'm no expert but I thought that working out adds weight. Muscle weights more that fat. I guess it would increase your calorie burn but you will always be hungry when you work out and increase your metabolism.

  • like hell bowflex works it dont do anything peace of crap it aint 210 like they say it is. if they where so good you see them all over the world everybody would use them in the gym you dont see any athlete yousing them or movie star or rock star hight price ripe off like soloflex was

  • anyone want to buy one for o nly 300? mint condition Worcester mass. give me an inbox message

  • this is made for fat lazy people !!!!!! if u want to be in shape GOOO TO THE GYM ! this shit is free wieght which wont make u gain any muscules

  • Im about to purchase a Bowflex, but which one do you guys suggest to build 6 pack abs?

  • @martinxy4 lol good luck, think u will get abs from that? Abs come from a low bodyfat%.

  • @martinxy4 Don't buy one its a piece of crap. You would be better of buying a bunch of free weights, barbell, dumbells, and a bench for a fraction of the price and get ten times the results.

  • @Red40Wings13 Ill take your word for it then.

  • I bet most people watching this are fat....

  • @ThyrsoidMoe117 I bet most people that say things like that are assholes.

  • @ThyrsoidMoe117 im not fat, im looking for a compact home gym, i want to build muscle

  • @ThyrsoidMoe117 I am fat... a big fat dick in my hand. Man that girl is so hot!

  • Just got the bowflex xtreme 2 from play it again sports, in a used but good as new condition, 50% off original price too. Its great for people who want to get in shape and gain muscle, but for body builders and other serious athletes, free weights are better imo. But it works great for me.

  • @Scimigodx LYeah im a seriouse athlete and bodybuilder i had to sell my wieghts becuase i moved and well i know ive gone down because i repp all the weight on my ex 2 for almost every work out. Fucking sucks dick

  • Just ordered one a few days ago. Got the PR3000 model. Sears was selling it at $700 ($600 off till yesterday). Can't wait to have it set up. Your right about the 20 minutes though. I don't think just doing the reps is good, you need to do sets to get the best of it. I'll be doing 40 minutes rather than the 20.

If interested, it's at $900 right now on the .ca site.

  • It does work, :) all you need is commitment and motivation...people just get serious and say the "gym works better, or freeweights, etc." It's basically the same thing, but people cannot adapt to an exercise machine, you can't get results like in a week, durkadurrr you need to keep on using it continually. The book has over 300 exercies and tells how to do them and which muscles are sparked. Workout for about an or or so, not 20 minutes, it gives you a hell of a workout, and I already see result

  • I was thinking of getting a bowflex just the simple 650$ model mainly because there are resistance ab workouts and because I can do bench presses on it what I was wondering is what is the max amount of weight this thing does and how does the ab thing work?

  • @TheMacNazi I have the revolution and you can go upto about i think 300 pounds *-)

That is if you pay for the upgrade ahaha

  • I want a Bowflex home gym but it's so fucking expensive. $600 can get me a three year gym membership at my community college including fuel for round trip transportation. I guess I'll only buy a Bowflex when I'm not so close to a community college anymore.

  • lolololololol

  • I see the bowflex as a definition machine if you combine it with cardio exercises but you'll never build muscle right if you dont hit free weights, i dont know you guys but at least thats my experience in the gym. Even if I had one of these things I would still hit the gym.

    BULO BUSTED

  • The bowflex will work if you use it correctly and consistently. It's like any other exercise routine or equipment... It only works if you use if all the time. Unless you run or do cardio exercises everyday and watch your diet, you will not lose weight or get cut. The good thing about the constant tension that BF provides is that it can contribute to sculpting your muscularity but it will not build big bulky muscles like dead weight does. It's a different form of resistance.

  • "Designed to make LOSING WEIGHT and building muscle easy and effective." Bowflex will NOT help you lose weight! Only eating right and cardiovascular exercise can. If you have a beerbelly for example, working your abs is not going to magically burn the fat that is in that area. Only cardiovascular exercise can burn the fat by using up calories stored in fat. You can't magically burn fat in a specific area of your body just by working those muscles! That is what they want you to think.

  • have u guys tried Rip Fire?

  • hot chicks in this vid!! yummy!

  • 20minutes a day 3 days a week? What strength training workout can be done so quick? Don't think you can push more than one muscle group to total fatigue in that time. My workouts take an hour and only if I am really pushing it. In terms of the actual power-rod technology, I gotta say that I am not a fan. For chest I have to put it up to 200 (each side) using almost all the rods to on the thing to get down to 8-10 reps. With my dumbells I only need to use 75lbs in each hand for equivalent.

  • @enantiomer2000 Did you perhaps leave the power rods on connected to the bowflex? (meaning that the hooks are on the rods) because that is NOT good for them.

  • @enantiomer2000

Muscle helps a great deal with weight loss. Muscle is the greediest part of the body aside from the brain and so building a small amount of muscle while losing weight will speed up your metabolism. I did a reasonable diet, loads of cardio and some weight lifting(not bowflex) in my teens and dropped 112 lbs.

  • Had one and then I joined a gym and tried free weights. I'll stay with the free weights. I build more muscle on free weights than this plastic thing.

  • Hi I have been so lucky to have had a Bowflex Ultimate 2 left in the house we are renting. Because we did not buy it , I cannot get a DVD on how to use it. Can someone give some advise

    Thankyou

  • I've got one, and it's a bloody beauty ...I use it every day....

  • exposed? this is just a damn commercial lol

  • It doesn't matter where the resistance comes from, it still resistance. Flexing bars or rods are the same as free weights. Ppl don't understand.

  • when they say you can workout for twenty minutes three times a week they mean exactly that.

  • I have to say that the bowflex really works

  • lolz, get a powerrack and bench..

  • I'm pretty new to exercising, and it always pisses me off how one side is talking about how the bowflex is better than anything else and the other side talking about how free weights are better. I'm pretty confused about all of this and it's kinda frustrating...

  • @K3inMitl3id This is prolly the best gym equipment out there; free-wieghts are good as well with certain exercises since you have to stabilize them, as for assisted machines you do not. I tried one of theese Bowflexes out and its really nice, feels like you have to stabilize as well. Really good work-out!

  • There are lots of dispute about which is better: Free weights or machine/bowflex. It just comes down to how much time you have. If you don't have time, or are shy about being at gyms, get a bowflex. The downside to this is that free weights will always have better effect on your muscles. I own an xlt and work out at the gym as well. I personally think weights beat bowflex 9/10 times.

  • bowflex commercials has the hottest women.

  • I own and use a Bowflex Xceed. 410 lb max resistance. Yes Bowflex works. After 2 yrs It's still in good shape minus wear on the backrest and seat. Not comparable to free weights in the gym due to the difference in resistance mechanics but results are great.

  • Bowflex had a model out years ago called the iron classic. Not sure how long it was out I remember having a brochure for it. Instead of power rods it was a cable system in which you could add freeweight iron plates. Anybody know anything about it?

  • this bowflex costs as much as it would cost me for a 12 year membership witm my gym

  • is that suppose to be a good thing???

  • probably not

  • My beloved Bowflex will arrive in 3 months! LOVE IT!

  • Consumer Reports did a review on the Bowflex. Their verdict? If you can afford it, it's a very good piece of equipment.

Their engineer also took TWO hours to assemble it!

  • They are very good systems. I have the Ultimate 2 BowFlex and it really is an awesome piece of equipment.

  • @bj616 Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh Today is April fools but this is no joke! This is the best April 1 day ever! My beloved Bowflex home gym has just arrived, and 1 month early! I got mine on Boxing day sale for an amazingly great deal! I cant believe it! Yahhhhhhhhhhhhh! I have a different home gym as well with steel weights (its how I call it). I have free weighs as well and a lovely exercise bench that was not expansive at all, yet works just fine-its great!!!

  • @LadyBlueGreenFairy Bowflex: Im already in love!

  • @LadyBlueGreenFairy Have fun on that BowFlex! They are the best workout machines. Cheers

  • @bj616 Hey thanks! I'm so excited and happy!!!!!!! Yeahhhhhhhhh! Bowflex is my new best friend and love! jijijijiijij

  • @LadyBlueGreenFairy It's amazing how many different exercises you can do on a BowFlex. You will be ready for Muscle & Fitness Magazine after your Bow Flex workouts. Which model did you get? I have a couple of vids of my Bow Flex I have uploaded. I have the Ultimate 2. Cheers

  • @bj616 I got the Bowflex PR 1000, in the future, after I save, save, save, save, I will buy the Bowflex ultimate 2.

  • @LadyBlueGreenFairy You wanna know something? There is nothing wrong with that Bow Flex of your's. You will be able to do hoards of different exercises and get into tip top shape in no time flat.

  • @bj616 Thanks! I'm happy to get it!

  • as much as i want this. i cant afford it :(

  • go on craiglist, you will be able to get one for penuts

  • hello everyone i am selling a pair of 1090 dumbells in excellent condition. I will also include a dvd and booklet at no charge to you. plz contact me if interested.

  • bowflex has been on the air since like 1995!

  • ok Bowflex great home gym i get it but i live in ny in the smallest room you can imagine. i came here see the model in the commercial. does anybody know who she is?

  • Just buy one on craigslist.. You can find them for like 300 bucks brand new almost.. Due to the economy, people are selling their first born child on craiglist for pocket change.. So your odds of getting a bad ass deal on the bowflex is guaranteed..

  • I love my BowFlex Ultimate 2, but there is no way in hell the rods equal the same as the plates on my free weights. I workout with free weights and Bowflex 5 days a week and they both are good, I just find the bowflex is better for toning and defining muscles.

  • it is, because free weights effect your muscles and define them more better than weights.

  • For mass it is best to use free weights. More weight with several sets of lower reps.

  • I love my Bowflex Extreme 2se. Its the Extreme with the Ab Bar across the back and the Ab harnest is great for the Ab muscles. It is Shaping me up quite nicely and i find my self wearing tighter shirts to show off my progress. so far it is working.

  • i agree with the guy below me, bowflex is a great machine if used properly and all that stuff but also take into account that the resistance power rods are absolutely garbage. definately give this product a few test trys and them compare it to the same weight on free weights. power rods are extremely innacurate and they get accustomed to the bending, which gradually reduces the overall resistance. having said this though the bowflex is great but i would trade it for free weights anyday.

  • You are absolutely right on. I once owned a Bowflex and it was a great machine considering it was a HOME GYM. The power rod technology does wear out overtime. To increase their life, never leave them bent after a workout. This will obviously increase their elasticity and thus reduce their strength. I saw pretty good results with the Bowflex, although I agree with you there is no substitute for free weights. However you are not going to find a better home gym than Bowflex.

  • The Bowflex instructional video tells you that the PowerRod resistance is NOT the same as free weights. They even tell you not to use the same amount in Rods as you would with weights. They also tell you that you dont reach the full resistance of the Rod untill it is bent to the point that it is touching the floor. So they are not inaccurate, just a different form of measuring.

It is great for building and toning. but if you want to get Bulky, it is just a start. you will be hitting the gym

  • Most people dont get results because they dont know how to work-out.

    My personal B.Flex tips:

    1. keep weights heavy enought that you can only do from 8 to 10 reps.

    2. Dont do more than 4 sets, and no less than 3.

    3. have a watch handy, rest beetween sets must range from 30 sec. to no more than 1 min.

    4. Rest beetween excersizes should be of no more than 3 min.

    5. Do full body work-outs. No more than 3 excersizes per body part. Eat, rest. I went from 156 to 215 in 2 years. No Bull Shit.

  • damn man, crazy results huh? nice, i just got my bowflex ultimate 2 today and yea a lot of stuff to put together, so many parts.

  • @ottosantiago

Cool thanks for the tips man I have a Bowflex Ultimate and have been only doing 2 sets and 15 reps. I'm gonna try the 8-10 and 3 set thing. How do you know when increase the weights? Every 2 weeks? Every month?

  • @fernandoiscrazy

Increase as soon as you can do more than 12 easy reps for any individual excersize.

Start adding 5 lb. Remember not to add to much that you cant do 8 to 10 reps ok.

    ;-)

  • @ottosantiago Good tips and all are true. I use Bow Flex Ultimate 2 and free weights.

  • @ottosantiago What the fuck! no way man! i just started it and got it and i do all the weight on it on almost every work out ther all 4 sets of ten reps and well idk if this shits going to do me any good thers only 210 pounds on resistance on the son of a bitch and before i had to get rid of my wieghts i was repping 225 on the bench my max was 280 and im afriad ive gone dowm:( idk im checking next week. Oh how tall are you? Age? And whats your body fat %?

  • @ottosantiago you managed all that with just this bowflex? cuz i have one and wouldnt see that mucch possiblee, niicee

    and thankss

  • @ottosantiago did you get that big by just using the bowflex?

  • @livelaughin77

Sorry for the delay, no internet.

Well, If your skinny like I was you will, but if your at a strength level like I am now, the bow flex is a level keeper not a level gainer. Ive been in the 215 lb for years now, and im ok with that, Im not a competitive bodybuilder so im good. If you want to go higher I suggest free weights at a gym. I hope I helped

  • don´t want to imagine one of them bows snappin on you

  • Fuck bowflex

  • this comment made my day :D

    haha, i love it.

  • Im thinking about getting the Bowflex classic, can I build all around muscle with the (classic) version? It seems much simpler than weights.

  • Free weights give you better results and is very much cheaper.Bowflex is way too expensive and not as effective as free weights. Dats Dat !!

  • i have been working out on this machine awhile now. but i still dont see my results, maybe im doing everything wrong on de machine... only it knows

  • have to eat right too.

  • you have to eat the right things at the right times, the right amounts, the right amount of rest, and the right amount of workouts.

  • it works, but is a little bit boring

  • BOWFLEX A BLOODCLAAT FUCKERY

  • i think this things can go baggy, don't they?

and how much weight can you put on with this machine?

  • i think 300lbs.. i remember hearing that number in a commercial

  • 410 lbs.

  • It depends on the model. Mine is like 8 yrs old and max weight is 310. Other models can go up to 410 lbs.

  • It works, but you must give it your all and not give up. Trust me.

  • I had a Bowflex and sold it when I move, I really regret selling it! Some on here have asked if it works and if it's good?! YES!!

I will definitly get another one.

  • what's the name of the guy in the white shorts??

  • tom petterson

  • Who is the blonde fitness model, red top, white shorts? Thanks.

  • kristia knowles...she is yummy!

  • how do you work out your abs with this?

  • I WANT ONE.......... But they cost too damn much

  • ill pay half if you pay half but it stays at my house

  • hahahahaha..mad funny

  • if you really want to build muscle and burn fat go to: combatingfat.blogspot, com

  • I stick to an old fashioned workout I did as a teen. Conditioning! Basically lots of slow repetitions (10-sec per rep) & neg presses- fast ups & slow downs using anything you like, including Bowflex. Safe on joints and works a decent sweat; some weird little spasms early on but the body gets used to it in days. That's probably the big benefit of Bowflex- another way to keep the conditioning routine going since so many people dump the gig once they feel like Ahhnold.

  • Seems like a low impact workout for those of us with a little time on the joints. DW and I need to get back on an exercise program. We have a treadmill for walking in the cold months, but need some strength training also. We've done the gym membership thing, but just too expensive, and don't want to fool around with freeweights.

  • I see people on tv all the time pushing bowflex is it any good or is it just another pice of junk someone is trying to sell

  • it good alright, i have the bowflex ultimate 2 and it works i do build muscle. it makes good muscle cuts on your body. but like that guys said if your half ass and quit half way you won't get anything from it.

  • I have a Pacific Fitness body building machine, otherwise know as "THE DEATH MACHINE". I like low impact. It suits me well.

  • We have a Boflex revolution. Have had it for a couple of years and I still use it regularly. I agree about looking for the best deals. some places way overcharge

  • The bowflex is ok, but it is really big! Also switching the bands on it can be difficult. I personally would recommend a Total gym. It folds up nicely, the levels of resistance are nice and on the higher end models you can add weight.

  • I've been thinking about getting a Bowflex, too, but it's out of my price range for now. I've been told the Total Gym is kind of flimsy but I've never tried it.

  • that is Erica Shaffer. She has a website. What a MILF.

  • It's graduated resistance training, you can't scam that. It's pretty straightforward. It is not cheaply made, Nautilus makes it. Egads.

  • I ordered my husband a Bowflex for Christmas. Im hoping he will look like the guy in this video by 2010! HOT!!!

  • I had one several years ago, don't recall which model it was, but I loved it. I'm currently waiting for my new one to be delivered. The only reason I got rid of it was because there was no room in the moving container for it. For most people, meaning not the competitive bodybuilder types, it does extremely well. I used it extensively and almost exclusively until I deployed to the sandbox, where I used machines heavily (I couldn't find a workout partner as dedicated or strong as I was).

  • Is it any good for a huge muscle mass taking??

  • I think it's a nice piece of equiptment but you may outgrow it eventually. still great for people starting out tho

  • man i n33d dat [treadclimb3r] i n33d m3 sum abs

  • I think it is a valuable and easy to use set of training equipment though. Apparently if you're strong you can max out the squat/deadlift/bench attachments pretty easily, but for the rest it's fine.

  • Both are based on the same resistance-type workout which is very different from free weights or other "weighted excercise"

  • I've had the bowflex for four years and finally got serious with it for almost two months now. Excellent results. I just modified it with good results, too. The bowflex allows the lifter to increment resistance 5 lbs at a time, ie the smallest rod is 5 lbs.

  • Is it any good for a huge muscle mass taking??

  • I'm thinking of getting one to. My Nordic Track, in storage, needs company.

  • Is the bowflex really worth all the money i was just wondering i mainly use free weights but im looking to try this out, anyone ever use or have a bowlfex, wanna kno if its worth the money.

  • man i n33d dat [treadclimb3r] i n33d m3 sum abs

  • I'm thinking of getting one to. My Nordic Track, in storage, needs company.

  • I got mine second-hand off eBay. The company is so great, they've even honored the life-time warranty and guarantee. There have been a couple recalls lately, but even though I wasn't the original purchaser, they sent me the fix kits for free. The company really stands behind its products.

  • The most effective way to use the Bowflex is through Zone Training. People complain of the extreme tension at one end with little tension at the other. But when working in zones throughout the full ROM, the Bowflex takes on an entirely new life.

  • If I'm not mistaken "Bowflex" is made by the same people that made "Soloflex" (which I own).

  • The anti-Bow bias is laughable and predictable. I used free weights for years and found the Bow as effective and more convenient. Basically you have a lot of lifters with zero imaginations and huge egos, unable to accept something new and putting it down without a lot of convincing logic.

  • Been using ours since March and yep the results are showing. I like it and would help anyone get the most out of theres

  • I'm calling to order my bowflex right now! I want abs like that dude

  • Hi there,

  • I've had the bowflex for four years and finally got serious with it for almost two months now. Excellent results. I just modified it with good results, too. The bowflex allows the lifter to increment resistance 5 lbs at a time, ie the smallest rod is 5 lbs.

  • Do you have and/or use a Bowflex machine? If so, what model? Any comments/suggestions?

  • I am training for a fitness comp in november... interested in this bowflex system. Seems to have great results.

  • I've worked out with free weights for many years and injured my neck while lifting heavy. The injury resulted in an ACDF (anterior cervical discectomy and fushion). I now have a titanium plate in my neck!! After a few months healing I went and bought a bowflex. Bottom line is, it works! If your circling forty and/or you don't have alot of space to work with I highly recommend it. Results have been phenomenal

  • I have the bowflex select tech dumbells and LOVE them! 5lbs to 52.5lbs and they increase in 2.5lb increments. They take up so little space too. They are just perfect for me

  • Is this the bowflex help line? I need help my brother is trapped in bowflex

  • NO BLOWFEX HERE! YUK
