  • I agree with almost everything you say except milk. I am a vegetarian and animal lover. I realize you treat your "babies" well but factory farmers do not. Milk products as well as for meat.

  • I think everyone agrees with you at a subconscious level -- killing animals for food is cruel -- the problem is that people don't have any imagination when it comes to putting together a vegetarian meal and most people don't have any backbone in making there own decisions. They always want to conform and not be criticized.

  • Ok to the point naow. Milk is safe and delicious. :D

  • When you imply that we should end suffering of living things, such as animals. Would this not also include allowing calves to have the milk that they deserve, instead of us humans stealing from them, in order to provide ourselves with an assumed ``nutritious`` food. The fact is, there is not enough milk to sustain the populations of people, hence the mass production of cows, which leads to suffering of calves. Advocating milk is like advocating meat, its harmful to the environment and health.

  • @earthsoulful Wrong. Learn how milk is made, there is no suffering through then, at least in America. In America, the cows are treated right. The calves are fed milk, and when the calves are full and the cow is unconforable with their udder, they go to this automated machine (the cows were trained to do so) that milks their milk. Then its all that disinfecting, packaging, and right to your grocery store. Study was incorrect anyway. And "If you dont like it, tough titty". c:

  • @Computergeew ``In America Cows are treated right.`` LMAO!!! Not only are you misinformed. You`re deluded too. Even if cows were `treated right`` in America, which I can assure you theyre not, dairy cow`s still cause a significant impact on carbon emissions and global warming. And please don`t tell me global warming doesn`t exist lol. The reality is, its not ``good food``. If we end the domestication of cows, were reducing the carbon footprint, and getting rid of stinky cancer promoting milk.

  • @earthsoulful Probalby you never understood what I just said, so I better stop wasting my time to someone that doesn't understand anything....

    Blocked, and GBYE c:

  • @Computergeew lol youre wasting my time too. laterz. :_D

  • Milk also has a negative effect on consciousness. Since it is made entirely of the animal protein "casein", which about 75% people cannot digest properly and thus it ends up passing the blood brain barrier, and distorts the world in a subtle yet disturbing way. This can manifest as depression, anxiety, and sometimes, yes... even schizophrenia. Milk can make people crazy? Yes. Do some research on it. So that you can get rid of that stupid video about milk being good for your body/mind. ;-)

  • @earthsoulful Milk contains (in 8 ounces) 8 grams of protien, 11 grams of carbohydrates, fat (depends on what kind), 300 milligrams of Calcium, Vitamin B2 (for growth probalby), Vitamin B-12, Zinc, Vitamin D, and Vitamin A. Those are good for you. Casein is found in milk too, its an element of Calcium (to help make your bones stronger). Casein can make a negative effect to people with autism and others with allergies. If you dont have autism, then drink up. c:

  • @Computergeew That nutrient make-up is meant for the growth of calves, not humans. You don't see calves drinking their brothers/sisters milk when they get older. They eat vegetation! Just like all other mammals dont drink mother's milk when they no longer need it. There's a wide range of evidence suggesting now that foods higher in calcium are not optimal for growth, and in fact it is vitamin d levels which determine calcium levels. The protein casein is not meant to be consumed by humans, ever.

  • @Computergeew Are you aware that ads related to "milk makes your bones strong" , were made illegal in the states? Why? Because, there's absolutely no scientific evidence that milk makes bones strong. Listing nutrients for a product that is meant to be consumed by other living mammals, hardly proves that Milk is healthy. As I mentioned 75% of people cannot properly digest milk, leading to various allergic reactions, many of which are not even recognized as allergic response.

  • @earthsoulful Obviously it wasn't ment to be drunk by humans in the first place, but we found out about the milk, and use it as a alternative way to get food. Vitamins for other animals? No. Milk, like what I said, has protien, but what is a better way to get protien? Meat from fish. Now what would you want, kill an animal, or get milk from a cow? "many of wich are not even recognized as allergic response", you never been specific on that one either. You need research too. c;

  • @Computergeew Your lack of knowledge is evident. You can get enough protein from plant foods alone. Consider that some of the largest dinosaurs ever to exist were herbivores. Where did they get there protein. Its obvious. I`m a vegan so I dont eat meat. I suggest you do more research on proteins, because animal proteins are damaging to the human body.

  • @earthsoulful They do now, they dont before. The human body is becoming weak everyday, as when we step into a more modern world, we start to lose the need for physical activities. This also damages our body, so we start to catch diseases everyday. So our body starts to lose their digesting power, making us more sick from food. Now stop telling people what to do and not what to do, like "dont drink milk". Let them live without fear of death from their foods that they eat. c:

  • @Computergeew Im not telling anybody what to believe. Im offering an opposite, informed opinion based on personal research and belief. If you dont like it, tough titty. Eating animal proteins accelerates cancer growth. Just investigate the ``China Study`` to find out why this little known research is popular and why it`s true. This animal protein includes milk from other mammals such as Cow`s etc. It was never meant to be consumed by humans. Humans domesticated cows for this purpose.

  • Watching videos about vegetarianism definitely influence my consciousness.

  • Satwik food is lively food , it need not vegan. It is the style of cooking which determines Satwik (e.g. Japanese sushi)

    Rajasik- French/ Chinese food

Tamasik- Overfried / curried North Indian (veg or non-veg ) food!

  • never had any problems with my consious xD

  • We are what we eat dear sister! If we cause misery we can never embrace peace, and if we cannot find peace then all we have is inner conflict.

  • Excellent video! I wish there was a dairy farm that raised cows using Krishna Consciousness practices. I wish I could buy my milk from an ISKCON farm. Anyone who has been to an ISKCON farm will know how well their cows are care for (even when no longer producing milk).

  • Fish are ppl too!

  • I saw that benloka video too then emailed him, met him in brighton and took him to see Sudevi and Kishori and gave him some beads chanted on my Gurudeva <3 nice lad!

    your eyes are very blue

    how lovely

and your lips are quite full and shapely

that means your a sensualist doesn't it? would explain why you have a good touch (masseuse)

where is your venus in your chart?

  • why is india considered to be the "Heart Disease Capital of the World? Seems that with all the vegans or vegetarians, they should have low heart disease.

  • probably because they fry nearly everything, and in carcinogenic oil to top it off.

  • Lets get the facts right. The vegetarians (there are hardly any vegans) in India not only have the lowest heart disease and blood cholestrol rate, they are also known to be more intelligent. However there are a lot of meat eaters in India and a lot of fried food on the streets.

  • Heart disease is 7 times higher in Southern India than Northern India. Consumption of fat is 10 times higher in Northern India. Get your facts straight!! Heart disease is caused by eating a low fat, high carbohydrate diet. And, yes, I have heard the myth ten thousand times that it is the opposite. That is the way myths are. You hear the myth over and over because people believe them. The truth is the opposite from myth and it is rarely spoken.

  • Please do a search of "heart disease capital of the world" We know your position. everyone has heard it a hundred times. That worn out line was started with Ancel Keys. Now, after 60 years, the science is coming in. And as it turns out, Keys fudged his work. Stop getting your information from sound bites. Read a book now and then that goes against the theory you know so well!!! Try Gary Taubes "Good Calories, Bad Calories"or Springer's They're Making You Fat and Sick. Open pandoras box!

  • I am sorry - you just need an excuse to eat meat. Weight can be lost diet even without an "Atkins" diet and heart disease is not the only risk with meat eating - cancer, brain tissue damage, pathogens, mad cow .. the list goes on and on. Numbers can be fudged, argued both ways etc.. just like the fight on global warming. We just have to listen to our intuition (our hearts) and understand the law of karma. Nature has given us that powerful tool just like it has given us reason.

  • Yes, there are a lot of lies. But to say you have to use intuition, is wrong. There is intellect and reason. I'm not looking for a reason to eat meat. I studied nutrition since 1981 and I know why they are pushing grain and causing meat fear. The best way to make you eat more grain is to make you afraid of meat. They want you to eat grain because food is the biggest expense of a nation. If they can get everyone to eat grain, the profits of exploiting the masses are increased.

  • For an ideal compromise between carnivorism and vegetarianism, find out about mammaltarianism, a diet that excludes most mammal meat.

    Search "Mammaltarianism" on YouTube.

    Go Mammals!

  • And I like the music :)

  • I can't see the different between cows and othe ranimals. The pig for example is as intelligent as a dog, just not physically fit to do "a dog's work". But I support your comment about hunting. Here in Norway it's vital to keep our wild elk, moose and other animals healthy and their numbers in control to avoid diseases. We have so few wild predators left (another problem we can blame ourself for.) So the gouverment regulate the hunting each year. The hunter get organic meat, the naimal die free

  • I wrote a long comment at his video, but I repeat what I said. Harvesting of nature and hunting has been incredibly important for man. And for some cultures and tribes it still is. But today we live in a consumer society where meat is packaged neatly and sprayed with chemicals. We destroy fresh meat to keep the prises up. We misstreat animals to maximise profit. We needed meat before, but as many other things we came to crave it. We have divided ourselves from nature in general.

  • pakistanis are Muslim. How would she talk about vegetarianism if she was muslim? are you not educated enough to know anything more than football and cars?

It's true what they say, racist brains are like animal ones, if a dog sees an animal that don't look like it, it attacks it.

NO amount of harsh racist response will back you up either, you're not in a brawl now. This is a mental battle, and you're gonna lose and show your self up more than you have.

    KARMA COMING FOR YOU KEITH!!

  • Who is responsible in the process of this brutal slaughtering of animals?

One who "permits" the slaughter of an animal

    One who "cuts" it up

    One who "kills" it

One who "buys or sells" meat

    One who "cooks" it

    One who "serves" it up,

And one who "eats" it, must all be considered as the slayers of the animal

  • I am a vegetarian all my life. My parents and grandparents have been life long vegetarians. We do not need all these brutal killing of animals for food.

  • That music in the back ground sounds yukky.

  • Our bodies need Iron to survive, You need to read more.. Meat provides protein and vitiman B12..Its a known fact!

  • Thank you. Very uplifing video. Hari bol!

  • Good point about how one should hunt for their own meat so that the animal being hunted has a fairer chance to defend themselves and knows that we are not their friends.

  • very enlightening....

  • i can hear the cow in the background

  • loooooooooooooooool

  • and we dont even have those kinds of teeth that normal mammal meat eating animals have. they have sharp teeth and theyre jaw like all the way to their ears.

there are so many reasons to not eat meat. i wrote a paper on it for school. man, i wish i had a apple comp to make videos.

  • very true radha. i hope you get something sometime and upload vids- it would be cool.. :)

  • you're funny.

i mean in the cool way.

  • Hey everyone, don't eat meat. That way I'll have more meat for myself.LOL

  • hahahahhhhaahahahahahahaa that was so stupid that it just made me laugh- actually thanks for the good laugh you sicko !!!! ahahhhahhaaa

  • Yeh I would expect that from someone who's in denial. Look plants feel pain, maybe even more than animals do.

  • mmhhhmm plants probably feel more than people too eh? because you know they don't scream and cry and run away when you try to eat them up- that must mean they feel more than all us warm blooded creatures with faces.

  • faces and developed central nervous systems!

  • @chiniwillly Picking and choosing which life form is more 'ethical' to kill has always hit me as one of the more selfish and callous forms of delusion. bbc.co.uk/news/10598926 All life is sacred, energy is energy, you must ingest something that was once living thing to keep yourself alive, it is a sad but true. Oh and agriculture accounts for more than 50 percent of all pollution in rivers and streams. Sorry but you are not a better human for your choices, maybe healthier, thats all

  • Someone's who's in denial. Maybe you don't wish to know the reason for the denial? It's been stated in the vedas that plaants have less chaitanya, or "feeling," than animals do. And besides, we incur sin even if we eat plants without offering to Krsna first. So why not offer him meat? Because Krsna denies so.

  • That music is so distracting! I'm trying to listen to you but i keep losing focus and start laughing lol

  • ooopsy sorry bout that :D

  • hari boi!!nice response to that guys video, why be a veggie, he seemed so angry, maybe even demon possessed. He needs krsna.

Theses meat eater just don't understand, they are so contaminated by the material world. thanx for you video

  • Thanks. Well, I'm quite optimistic that as a family we would all become 100% vegetarians.

  • I can understand your an animal lover and u love cows but what does that have to do with not killing only cows ?...so ur sayin we can kill any other animal except cows just cuz u said so ??....and yeh i did do some hunting while i was in africa...we bought a goat from a seller and blessed it before we slaughtered it....so really I dont have any problems hunting for meat...after all, our ancestors did the same and its all in our genes...

  • well, I don't think killing any animal is good, but just especially cows, as they are high in consciousness, and take a special place as surrogate mother in a big way to many. it's not that i just said so, in vedic view, the cows are sacred because of the reasons I mentioned- and more. if what i say has less people eating animals especially cows, I'm happy. btw, i don't think purchasing a goat and slaughtering is the same as hunting, but it sounds better than what others do- good for you!

  • I was really touched by your video. I was a vegetarian for 5 years before marriage. Now my wife (arranged marriage)has made me to eat meat again. But I have only rarely been eating chicken and fish. I'm fascinated by your views since I too have an Indian background. But how do I again become a vegan, since my wife loves non-veg food and also cooks it for our very small children. I'm really confused. By the way, liked the background bangla song! Thanx!

  • i really feel for you- I don't think i have a good solution. Maybe you can educate your wife, or ask her to kill her own chickens and see if she would still do it.. i don't know.. I pray to krsna that you may find a good solution.

  • So... The Oxford studies show the BRAINSHRINKAGE! Oh well! Let my brain shrink and my heart grow. I see people in this world are having BIG BRAINS but tiny hearts. Consider this .

  • Then again, excessive ingestion of Growth Hormone (as may be acquired from eating meat) may actually lead to early fusion of the growing ends of long bones and result in a shorter stature than would have been genetically programmed.

  • Besides, it is a well known fact that Oxford University is cash strapped these days, and will do anything to strike up a controversy, even if it means ruining their former glory a tad bit - the publicity will pay off in the long run...or so they think.

As far as people's heights are concerned, we know they are genetically determined; B12 levels have nothing to do with it. Appropriate levels of Growth Hormone determine how tall one is.

  • It's only B12 that vegetarian diets are deficient in, pure veg that is, so milk and milk products like Ghee are needed. Furthermore, Ghee provides all the fats required for myelination of neurons, as opposed to meat based diets which run a parallel risk of infection with parasites such as cysticerci (pork and beef) and prion diseases such as BSE, Kuru and CJD. Any argument that enforces meat eating is based purely on the desires of the tongue. Be honest with yourself.

  • A new study done at Oxford on vegetarians and vegans just came out. The study shows that those on a vegetarian diet, besides anaemia and inflammation of the nervous system are susceptible to BRAIN SHRINKAGE. Of course this is due to the fact that they aren't getting the amounts of B12 that they're supposed to. I believe they're not getting many other nutrients as well but B12 is a major one. Check out the study yourselves, it's easy to find on the internet as it just came out this week.

  • This is why I'm a strong proponent of drinking raw organic fresh milk YUM YUM! Many nutritionists actually think most people are deficient in many different vitamins and minerals. Things are so denatured nowadays. We really need to take care of our bodies actively.

  • Intriguing stuff. I didn't realize food could improve such areas. You're a beautiful woman. It's nice to see someone owning their natural beauty, make-up is so pointless, especially for young women.

  • I'm glad you liked it. And thanks. :-) I agree, lots of people over do it with make up.

  • bathroom cam. that's either awesome or nasty.

  • If eating meat is wrong, what are we going to do about all the other animals that are eating meat? Someone has got to stop all the cats, dogs, bears, and others from eating meat. What shall we do?

  • marry yes i did, i married Srila Gurudeva,

He gave me Safron isn't a great thing.

Not everything have to be professional, but you have great garden with nice orange trees, or with the cows, that would be so nice. Or with pictures in between. Did you see that Vegetarian movie against meat. one devotee of Australia had that one well you would be Vegetarian if you would see that one. So sad.

But well keep it up. Good work. lot of people's attantion and thats what counts right.

  • Yes Native Americans are now suffering on what they have done killing eating meat. Just like all the natural world dissasters.

The point on expression is that profession would be great. the sanga lacks a lot on proffesion if we could make something what you do but more profesional look who we can reach media tv, documentary programs on tv it would be great. To be vegetarian is great but if we don't offer it to God krsna we not better than a Cow

  • i did not want to offend you in any way what you doing is great, its just some critic, and i thought it was a mistake by saying fish can't cry because we can't see or hear it doesn't mean it isn't, like the way God Krsna works, we can't always see him but he is there.

  • Don't worry You didn't offend me. you had good advice. :) and it's ok about the fish crying, you were only quoting that movie ;-)

  • All the cultures across the world ate very little meat? Where did you read that? The more north you go the less available plants are, so how do you see them surviving? Weston Price's study done in the 30's found no traditional peoples/tribes that didn't eat meat and many whose majority of their diet was meat. If you're of European descent, you can bet your ancestors ate a lot of meat, putting you to be genetically as a protein type. Not following the diet of your ancestors would be unhealthy.

  • you're right, many cultures farther north ate (and eat) much meat. I should have been more specific, I meant all the long lived, and very healthy cultures across the globe mainly eat meat very very sparsely. My main point is that if it's possible, then better to avoid it, as it is violent and cruel. If you can't go veg., then (my feeling-) try to not eat animals of higher consciousness at least. (highest consciousness is human, and most people agree that they shouldn't be eaten)

  • "...I meant all the long lived, and very healthy cultures across the globe mainly eat meat very very sparsely."

Where did you hear that from? Could you site your source? The only time people ate less meat was when it wasn't available. We can see that in the archaeological records where you see people getting smaller in stature. The later Mayan period is a good example where the average male height decreased from 165 to 157 centimeters. Raising animal for food doesn't have to be "cruel."

  • Ah.. sources, well, Dr. Paavo Airola, Julliete de bairacly levy, those two are my favorite authors.

our bodies are not built for a meat based diet. Even bears are omnivores, but they are better built than us for the meat end of the diet. We are closer to monkeys, some of which occasionally eat meat. In fact in structure we more closely resemble herbivorous animals, as we don't even have the type of canines that monkeys have. animal eating is much more supplementary for human consumption.

  • Those are your sources? A guy that recommended 40 day juice and fruit fasts? His theories are based hunches, which have their place in the debate but I wouldn't use them as evidence. And Juliette de bairacli levy was known as an herbalist, what does that have to do with the topic?

  • Fasting is really good, maybe I'll do a video on it. :)

It's easy to see we're ill equipped to eat meats compared to other animals. And just because some of the humans have adapted to eating animals to survive in otherwise inhabitable places, doesn't mean we can't be fine adapting to meatless diet. Just see, so many are doing it.

  • "Some humans" have adapted to it? Try *all* of humanity for the past 2.4 million years have been eating animal protein. How much do you think the human body evolved during that span of time? From stating out eating grubs, insects and frogs, to eating large prey, which in turn made us taller, smarter, etc. How long do you think it will take the human body to adapt to a diet free of (animal) protein? It will surely take a toll on the health of the first thousand generations (you guys)at least.

  • Vegetarians live longer if u dont believe me look it up!

  • As there are no examples of "vegetarians" in the modern sense in history, there's nothing to look up.

  • yunta51: Don't know where you get your numbers saying: "Try *all* of humanity for the past 2.4 million years have been eating animal protein." (using high school books again?). You seem to ignore the millions of vegetarians from other cultures. Current estimates 30%. And 2.4 Million years?... common... easy to speculate.

  • Name a culture/people/tribe that were vegetarians.

  • one more thing... I did notice that people tend to be pretty short when they don't drink milk. Milk drinking cultures produce people of tall stature. "raising animals for food doesn't have to be cruel"... what is it then? I guess persons who don't believe animals have feelings would say things like this. But like i said before, the cruelty can be minimized a lot by supporting free range, organic, small farms.

  • If you compare the way a small family run free-range livestock farm can be as far as harvesting the livestock, to the way animals treat eachother, you'll know what I mean. Have you ever heard what a bear does when it gets a hold of a lactating ewe? It begins eating the animal's utters, and does this while the animal is still *alive*! Not a good way to go. I think factory farms should be banned throughout the world. Small organic vegetable, dairy and livestock farms are they way to go.

  • Good thing we're not bears who like to eat other baby bears. Good thing many of us are loving compassionate beings with higher intelligence.

I know what animals do to each other. I also agree that the small scale farms are the way to go! if it bothers you the way bears do it, you must think it's wrong.. just some food for thought.

  • also protein can be found in many places, I like milk, cheese, beans etc. Most people eat too much protein and are full of toxins from it. I also think tho, that what Sean is saying is good, and that if a person cannot seem to give up meats, then it's better to support the organic and cruelty minimized animal eating.

  • Animals tast good and have the benefit of sustenance and are natural to eat.

  • So are vegetables. Only no blood is involved.

  • That's true, vegetables are good to eat. Steak and potatoes.

  • Like I haven't heard that one a million times. What next, are you going to offer me a steak? Heard that one too.

  • I haven't offered you anything. I simply stated that meat and vegitables are both good. Is eating meat wrong?

  • is eating humans wrong? Why or why not?

  • Is eating humans wrong for who? I don't think humans taste very good but bears, lions, sharks, and a few other animals will eat humans. Are they wrong? Again, is eating meat wrong?

  • what if humans tasted super yummy? Carnivorous animals need to eat meat to live. I am living proof that people don't need to. I've been vegetarian all my life.

I think it's wrong if you have compassion in your heart. you know bears and lions will eat other baby bears and lions. (i don't know about sharks.) they're animals, so they don't have a fault for that, but I think it's wrong for people to do the same thing.

  • It is ok to have a beleif that humans should not eat meat; I'm just trying to understand your logic. So, since humans don't need meat to survive then they shouldn't eat meat. Is that correct? Suppose all meat was taken off the menu for all humans; what do you suppose would happen; could we all survive on non-animal foods?

  • I'm sure we could :-)

But that probably won't happen, and people will continue eating up animals. Maybe some more people will change over tho, when they think about it carefully and put some feeling into it all. If you have no compassion in your heart for the animals, then it's not wrong for you.

  • Some animals eat animals, they are what they are. We are humans (humane). I am sure cannibals attacked and mocked those who started campaigning against cannibalism in the same way meat eaters criticize vegetarians now. Meat eating is inhumane (not humane). Definition of Humane: 1. characterized by kindness, mercy, or compassion. 2. Marked by an emphasis on humanistic values and concerns.

  • fish never cry did you ever seen finding Nemo?

When you record your self try to have a different expresion. lively. Its serious but don't take it to serious.

Didi you know what i mean?

    But yeah its great clip

  • I never saw finding Nemo. i think I know what you mean about expressions, but i'm not particularly trying to be super entertaining or fake here. I'm just thinking and talking.

  • congratulatios for tackling such a difficult subject. The cows in the background give you much credibility.

  • Thank you this was very natural from the heart, yes plants to respond i read about a scientist who played classical and soft Sitar music to cactuses and within several generations the plants had no more spikes. The more people become aware that life is everywhere, holy and sacred, the more they will become non violent to life in all its many forms especially if they realise that all actions have reactions and that a lot of their own suffering iscaused by maintaining sloughterhouses ther's no love

  • yeah :)

  • Now this is some good Karma Yoga for the cows. This is so much better than others making stupid videos smearing cow dung on their faces.

  • You mean my sister? She was just playing ... don't you ever play?

:-P sorry if you didn't like that... but that's why we separate things..

  • I've actually heard a catfish cry.

Good video, but I believe that the hierarchy of consciousness is only imagined and fitted to our self-important view of the human condition. All species are as justified and as deserving of life as the other, we all contain the cosmic spark of divinity that should be embraced and treated respectfully.

  • Wow a catfish cried?! I did not know they did so.

What do you mean by treat respectfully? We do indeed need to eat other life forms in order to maintain our own bodies optimally. Do you mean to promise to those whose lives we take that they can do the same to us in another life, like the Native Amercians did?

Or do you subscribe to the completely non violent diet- the yogi diet?

  • i totally agree

  • thanks :)

  • great video - wonderful spirit you have.

I don't personally drink milk but if I was over at your house and you offered me some I would have to consider it.

  • Thank you :)

Milk -Raw milk that the cows offer us- is amazing food. You should check out all the amazing benefits to drinking and eating it!

  • meat...I'm going to hurl!

  • yeah it makes me want to hurl too :-O
