If I recall I beleave some of these vehicle designs may have been used in F-zero maximum Velocity, Green amazone kinda resembles the stingray, and lunar bomber sorta resembles the extra NPC cars in the track you dont get to control, or atleast the four jet cylinders do.

I can think of many reasons why this never got made into F-zero 2, largely due to the fact that it was almost the exact same as F-zero 1. You still only had 4 vehicles to choose from and they were mostly redesigned vehicles from the first game. Also the 5 tracks were mostly recycled from there F-zero 1 pallets as well.
