If you look at its background, it's trying to be like Uematsu and Uematsu as himself have never taken anything except his own shit. If you listen to one of the battle musical pieces, then you will hear some similarities between all the FF musical pieces since he didn't take anything from Beethoven nor those classical people that we study in Piano classes. For crying out loud, it doesn't even sound like Franz Liszt.
