THESE TRAIN STINK. They have no ventilation (windows only open on one side of the train), no AC (like all of France), they smell, they're always late or out of service, packed to the gills, and the cars are filled with seats with no standing room. Probably designed by 4th graders while the real engineers were on their 6-week vacation.
@Claytoad1: I come from Mexico. The RER is so wonderful compared to transportation in Guadalajara I became a fan of it. Now, if this is good, imagine how much it sucks here...
ou c'est opposé mais il ya un aiguillage plus loin pour le remettre sur la bonne voie, sa nous est arrivé aussi pour allez a courcelle au lycée, c'était marrant de sortir du côté ooposé , la secousse qu'on avait en faite ressentie était bien le changement de voie :)
@decline2state: RER trains run on the left track, British road style, because they're run by the national train authorities. The Métro is run by the local transportation authority, so they run on the right track, American road style.

RER run on the left unlike metro, it is operated by RATP and SNCF.
The RER B southern bound is RATP and the nothern bound is SNCF.

Does the RER follow Paris Metro practice and usually run the trains on the right, or does it follow SNCF practice and run the trains on the left?
