  • Scheisse mit Ei.

  • who needs a soprano sax?? i'll definitely learn the tarogato.

  • Serious abuse of an otherwise beautiful instrument, the taragot.

  • nooooo it's such a shame it cuts out where it does - i advise everyone that listens to this to start a fade on the heavy scraping bass or you will be sorely disappointed

  • Brotzmann is a beast!

  • sweet.

  • I'm not sure why I love this kind of music, but I do :D

  • Like a goose in heat! Yea! Why in the world was the bass solo cut off!

  • I went to High School with Anthony Cox, in Minnesota. He was astounding in 1970, as a 15 year old, and he's become a fantastic bass player. Good to see him, and hear his innovative style. This type of jazz is kind of over my head, but I enjoy hearing Anthony again after so long.

  • That is so wonderful!

  • Unusual and different, I love Anthony Cox's bowed bass "solo" at the end. Creative cat.

  • @ramshorn8 - this video does the taragot serious injustice. Please look up Romanian and Hungarian musicians here to check out what real taragot playing is supposed to sound like. For example, look up Luca Novac (RO) or Csavas Atilla (HU).

  • great stuff !! thx

  • I attended this concert. Thanks for preserving a bit of it. It brings back fond memories of some very exciting music. Brotzmann can sound like a flock of birds. Sorry you didn't get more of Cox. Great stuff though.

  • This is prob my fav vid, thanks.

  • Great stuff. The growling bowed bass is a terrific underpinning.

  • at bout 2:55 and on - highly flammable

  • Hail Sanders! You GR8

  • Oh man, this is so good!

  • es bueno escuchar musica sincera despues de las chingaderas de hoy en día

  • this is one of the most amazing pieces of free impro i've ever seen or heard!! Too bad the double bass solo is cut short...

  • Nice to actually see Brotzmann playing the Tarogato, interesting techniques he uses.

  • amazing vid, thanx
