Now, I have a Crate amp, bigger than the Spider 3, along with this pedal. And the tone is, KILLER. Playing through a low-end B.C. Rich with a single EMG 81. Also in my year of absence, I've noticed that I've matured a lot. In guitar knowledge that is. lol

@fretwizard420 i think the Digitech Metal Master seems to sound even better than the Boss Metal Zone for extreme Metal tones, for what i've heard around on demo videos and such. I read that Cannibal Corpse (ex)guitarist Jack Owen used one so I decided to give it a try bought one for 75Euro and damn! ..you can create some serious Death Metal tones with it that blow your head off :)

I belive you need to take things a bit easy with this pedal..

Match the volume between pedal on/off..

The Pedal got alot of volume and very effective eq..

Start with "level" at zero and work your way up.. just an idea.. ;)

I've got it going through the clean channel of my amps both of them, still sounds shit, I've messed around with the settings on the pedal, i tryed the default settings recommended on Digitech website, but still can't get a decent sound through it. I know this pedal can sound good, but I just can't get any tone like this guys.

I see all the other vids demoing this pedal and all the complaints in the comments. "Oh! It's too fuzzy!", "Oh, it has no gain control!" Harden up. It's called the "Death Metal" pedal for a reason. Anyone who plays that style pretty much has the gain turned to full most of the time anyway. What were you expecting? A nice polite overdrive?

Sorry but I can't really remmber the settings.. but think pretty basic(keep the level down to match the amp), start around 12'clock on bass/mid/high and increase the bass, scoop some mids.. gentele with the high if I'm not misstaken..

The sound is just the squeel.. search YT and you find tons of how-to videos ;)
