The original name of the game was supposted to be Terror-strike a reference to Counter-strike but look like they changed grafics and engine a little bit.

I can't believe all of these "It looks better" comments. The art at this point was clearly incomplete (lots of windows lit up resulting in no clear direction to goal, lack of 'light' fog to make commons easily identifiable) and 'film' feel is totally absent, too. Pretty much every single change made to the game after this point was a positive one. Read the L4D blog and check out the artistic tweaks they made -- it makes a huge difference when you see them side by side.

I think if they make a left 4 dead 3, they should take out the special infected, just have common infected but actually make them bite you, and your should play as a group of survivors who arnt immune, also they should concentrate more on the horror aspect. it would make an awesome game I think.

No version is alot better. Some of us saw this in 2005 and wanted THIS GAME now that vaule has chagned it its a big dissapointment! I wish the beta was the final so so much better! Every survivor has a hoddie but francis. Also the world the darkness, gun sounds EVERY THING WAS BETTER! Man i hate now that downed the texures and gave it a little bit of a TF2 look instead of CS... :( beta please come back....Or i hope l4d2 will fix all of this with the new guns!
