As a magician i think Smoke by alan rorrison is a better trick i did both tricks at my show and Smoke got more applause then pure smoke cause really wouldnt you think its cooler to produce smoke out of your mouth

No Pure Smoke is definitely a better utility device. Alan Rorrison's smoke is limited to coming from your mouth and you'd need an excuse to pull out the gimmick. Pure Smoke has infinitely more possiblities and looks more magical in general.

You could say its more practical but you'd need to take out a sharpie, have a reason to use, have a reason to put it in your mouth for a while and then have a reason for smoke to come out of your mouth. With Pure Smoke it doesn't need to be built into a trick, Pure Smoke is magical by itself.

@shad0w12346 sharpies are used in pretty much every 1 of my tricks. a switch is easily accomplished. spectators tend to like smoke better. but watever we all have different opinions

Yes sharpies can be used in alot of trick but is there a reason for smoke to come out of your mouth? Really only a trick like card to mouth can use it naturally or maybe something like what Calen Morelli did with a water bottle and breathing in smoke from inside the bottle.

I don't think its the device that gets the reactions, its the presentation.

Plus Pure Smoke isn't really that impractical, the device for producing smoke it fairly compact. You don't really even need a sweater/jacket, just a long sleeve shirt

Pure Smoke is triple the price because its a more functional system. It gives out twice the thickness of the smoke with no problem. Carry it around really is no problem since its so compact, look up a picture of it cause its actually pretty small. Sure you can perform smoke easily but its not gonna come out as thick of a smoke unless you hold the sharpie for a while and its only gonna come out your mouth, assuming you have a reason for it to come out your mouth.

@shad0w12346 i agree with you.. but to a lay person,, they dont remember where it came from all they remember that they was smoke.. we asked the ppl later what did u remember from my act and my friends act,, all they said was , we signed the card (not decsribing the efect properly), 2 balls were in my hand. and there was some smoke , so i think its all abt practality.,. so intermas of price potabality etc,, i m going with the sharpie.
