Great Book! I can't put it down. So honest and humorous! My Dad's family is from Gorski Kotar and Aunt lives in Delnice. Always vacationed as a child, also as an adult on Croatian coast. Some of the best times of my life were spent there. Can't beat non-commercialism, low crime, beautiful scenery, cleaniness, with great food; all organic, natural, and homemade! It was a struggle sometimes, but you look back on it as a nostaglic adventure worth taking. Thanks Jennifer! You're awesome!
