  • thats nothing try up to 4000 for an italian one!!!

  • watch this video make a accordion make money

  • I'm reminded of a farside comic:

Gates of Heaven - "Welcome to Heaven, here's your harp."

Gates of Hell - "Welcome to Hell, here's your accordion."

    But good stuff, good stuff

  • I got to meet a master Accordion maker here in Point-du-lac, Quebec. He was very impressive! He had regular 10 key ones, and advanced ones with extra octaves.

  • the diatonics i pla have 3 rows one on side and 2 on the other

  • So Cool

  • I have C and D accordions- how is the accordion tuned to a key?

    janders47

  • Separate voices :/

  • *spiting out juice* 2,500 dollars for an accordion!!!

  • Mine was way more than that from Slovenia

  • La course à accordéon, j'adore...ADI de Montréal, Québec

  • That definitely ain't even close to the quality and sound of an Acadian by Marc Savoy.

  • @Tantrix911 quebecois accordions don't cut corners, I can't even distinguish any of those louisiana boxes, they're all the same

  • @iunnierossipi

The best accordions are made in Louisiana and they definitely ain't no toys or $100-$200.

  • thanks;)

  • are the reeds bought, or are they made in the factory?

if it's bought, where is it bought?

  • The reeds are bought. Several companies in Italy manufacture such as Binci, Salpa, and Antonelli (Voci Armoniche).

  • The definition of "perfect pitch": When you throw a banjo into the dumpster and it hits an accordion on the way in. LOL - I actually love both of these instruments. I'm in the process of forming a marching band consisting only of banjos, accordions, a bass drum, and several Kazooists. Were going by the name "Weapons Of Past Destruction".

  • I love you for that...

  • Seriously the accordion looks like one of the most complicated physical instruments to build.

  • Also, EVERYBODY POLKA!

  • thanks for putting this film on here!

as a woodworker myself (not a pro though..) i just love to see how craftsmen manufacture music instruments!

  • what is the name of the tuine he plays?

  • Someone told me they saw this on TV but I missed it. Thanks for putting it up here.

  • thanks for sharing your video.

  • vive les medias!

  • Hi,

    thanks for sharing these vids.

To me this instrument with one row on the right hand, 2 buttons on the left hand and 4 registers is called a mélodéon. Apparently, it seems to be the same word used in English and in French. So what we see in this interesting video is the making of a mélodéon.

What about this serie "How it's made", is it made by a TV Channel ? It's very interesting.

    Thanks.

  • I didn't notice, the TV seems to be "TVG", isn't it and the emission "Science something", can so tell more about it ?

  • This is the Science Channel

  • Que de plaisir nous offre le diato qui nous rend contemplatif...

Eric Bonneau...ah qu' il fait bon vivre...

  • Houlala, ça me donne envie d'ouvrir mon diato pour voir comment c'est fait !

  • The guy playing on this video is Raynald Ouellet from Montmagny, Ouébec - I think he is the best diatonic accordeon player ever. And "Melodie" is made by Mr. Ouellet and his good freinds. A great instrument!

  • Yep, i have that listed above on "About This Video"
