  • what happened to the music in the cg cutscene?

  • @neoridgeback That's an old video (2009) on an old device xD

  • Best. Game. Ever.

  • Any problem on HTC Mega?

Is the switch CD option available on FPSECE 0.10?

  • @yowpa HTC Mega doesn't have a big CPU, so the games will work but there will be some slowing downs during battles. Now it's FpseCE 0.11, and yes, the switch CD option is available

  • @i900frenchaddict does FPSECE 0.10 allow the switch CD option?

  • @yowpa Yes, it does. (now it's v0.11)

  • hey, i was wondering if you got any problem when it asks you to change the CD..

  • @yowpa No problem, it's possible to "change the CD" in fpsece 0.11

  • @i900frenchaddict Uhm, do you know if the game will work in a HTC Mega, using a microSD for the game?

  • @i900frenchaddict Can you change it on fpsece 0.10?

Is there any problem on HTC Mega?

  • hey which samsung omnia brand ru using?

  • @shukor15 This was a stock samsung i900 omnia with stock 6.1 rom ^^

  • wow that is nice! would this work with an HTC desire too?

  • @Sicman522 With a desire, fpsece won't work (it's for windows mobile). Try PSX4droid emulator, but it's far less perfect than fpsece, I donno if ff9 will run with this emulator

  • i900frenchaddict

    how are your settings ?

i tried running this game several times with a diferent setting and my FPS is only 40~45 .

When im walking with vivi appear with dots in the background and sometimes gray squares.

I tried running with the Lazy Fiz, the High Resolution Fix but nothing change, only if i enable HLE i get some more FPS.

    And my GFXDRV = 3

And the XAsound is off too, thank you !!

  • @Brittocx For the gray squares, I have this too now, I think Schtruck broke something...

    Try gfxdrv=2 (or 4)

And most important: be sure of well compressing with pocketIso 3.2

  • Right now i i have te i900 in hands, it's a simple WM phone, but i think i made the right decison.

The next step is install some apps, emulators and play Final Fantasy a lot.

i900frenchaddict, thanks for the tips and the reply.

    Greetings

  • Hi, i am right if i trade my Nokia 5530 Xpress Music in an Omnia I900 ?

I never used WM, there are a lot of games like iPhone or only apps, few games and emulators ?

    Thank you

PS: Final Fantasy IX is my favorite FF.

  • @Brittocx What you'll get best from Wm is emulators (much better than iphone for emulators). For the "native" games, it's not the iphone, the WMmarket is not apple's one....especially on an old (but still very good!) device like the omnia: no openGL es support

But compared to the Nokia, it will be much better, for emulators but also other games, and you'll have a real OS, what mean lots of apps, customizations, etc

  • @i900frenchaddict But now, you can change your mind about the iPhone 4. :p

  • @TheMushyRoms Let's say now it finaly has enough power to run its non-optimized emulators at a decent speed. But I'm still waiting to see a Tekken 3 or bloody roar 2 full speed^^

And I'll never buy Apple products anyway, I hate their marketing and monopolistic attitude. I'll wait for the HTC HD3 or similar that will easily take the lead long before iphone 5 will be out

  • can i put this on my nokia n97 mini ?

  • no, you need a windows mobile phone tu run fpsece, sorry

  • O_o id play ff8 all day if had an emu

  • just need to have a windows mobile phone

  • wouldnt it lag if i had an old wm phone like the tilt o.o

  • I would say 500mhz cpu is the minimum ti have playable games (and some full speed games)

  • whats it like when it comes to disc changes?

  • for ff9, you just open the iso of cd2 and use the saved game

  • What I don't get, is that the Samsung Saga has a faster processor and I haven't been able to get ANY emulator working. Yet clearly the Omnia (which my dad uses) works just fine. My dads Omnia is so much slower than my saga at EVERYTHING, yet I can't play games.....

Company's need to think about gamers, who want a cell phone that can game too....

  • -Samsung SAGA=Qualcomm 400mhz CPU (if my sources are right, that's what I found on the web for this device)

    -Samsung Omnia 1 =PXA 624Mhz CPU

So I suppose it's the reason why Saga is slower than Omnia

  • How much better would this be on Omnia 2?

  • @Ysmikaze it's already full speed on Omnia 1, so on omnia2, you'll have the same on a bigger display^^

And you'll have the onscreen interface to play this kind of game without any gamepad of course, what was not implemented at the tme I made this video.

  • anybody know when 1.0 is coming out?

  • and can i with touch-keyboard play, like in medievil on tg01 video? i have i900

doubleposters must die, and bad english, sorry...

  • Not with "touch-keyboard", but exactly like on the TG01, the i900 and tg01 have both a resistive screen

  • can i download this fpsece version?

  • lol wow

  • WTF! YOU CAN PLAY PSX ON OMNIA.. DANG! I want to have one.. do anyone know how much i900 Omnia in the Philippines?

  • I don't know for your country, but since the Omnia 2 has been out, Omnia 1 is much less expensive than before! Maybe you could try ebay?

  • I'm just afraid buying in ebay coz what will I do when the unit has a product defect! I dont like sending him back again the unit coz it frustrates me..but thanks anyway! I'll try checking Samsung shop in the mall when I have time!

  • is this mobile platform?

  • Yes, it's a samsung Omnia 1

  • working great but screen too small how do i get it full screen on omnia.. seeing as its wqvga.. and the default res is qvga

  • FpseCE 0.10 will have a complete full screen option, using unoticable stretching, I don't know how Schtruck achieved this, bur it's really almost unoticable

  • I have a NTC TouchVIVA (T2222) that has a 624MHz CPU.

Downloaded this, the BIOS and dumped my FF7 to a ISO with Imgburn. It runs with very poor speed.

Is there something else I need to do, some optimization I have to go through, or something I need to get for this to work well?

  • What I use here is version 1.0 of the emulator, not released yet (but Schtruck and LDchen agreed for a release this summer)

But with my omnia, I have about 42 fps with FF7 and FpseCE 0.9.6...How much fps do you have??

  • when the actual game starts, im lucky if i even see 10fps.

i dont know much about configuring the GPU, is that what I should be looking into?

  • Try using all the gpx drivers in FPseCE options (gapi, vga..) and check how much free ram you have before starting fpsece

  • any idea when they will fix the bugs they had back in january and when we will be able to download and use??

  • when download will enabled??

  • Yeah dude, I'm just stiring. It's hard to find out what gpu your omnia has, have you had a look? I run finalburn and genpp good but the other emulators don't support the qualcomm graphics properly. I haven't bothered running fpsce because I know it doens't support qualcomm ati graphics, mabey the new version will. It just has to support opengl es 1.1 or less. The omnia hd is kick as with wvga and 800mhz, why did you get that one dude? I can't even find the gpu for your phone with goodle?

  • My gpu is the same as the new omnia HD: marvell PXA312, but 624 Mhz for the omnia, when the HD omnia is 800 Mhz

More, the HD omnia is not availiable in my country, and quite expensive on the net

I'me sure you could run fpsece on your device since I made it run with my gpu downclocked to 200mHz (fpsece is a big collection of optimizations, sometimes runs with slow devices)

Have a look at the new version when it's released, surely you'll have VGA full speed playstation on your device!

  • I'm sorry to destroy your world but xtrakt has way better graphics using opengl ce on the qualcomm chipset. I'd make a ds emulator is I was Nerd Fest 97 like you but alas I am not. A psx game could be fast when the programmer of fpsce uses the qualcomm ati imageon chipset. That is why I point out xtrakt as it clearly show's 800x480 3d at good frame rate. Please have a look. Finalburn and genpp run sweet on qualcomm. ds should be easy since it's similar hardware artard, dual arm cpu nerdfest

  • of course xtrakt is wonderful!

But as you may know, emulation takes much ressources than any equivalent game that is not emulated, just because making a ppc think it is a playstation already needs huges ressources, then with the rest, it has to make the game run!!

Anyway, I'm not emphazing the omnia, I'm just pointing out the qualities of fpsece!!!!

    Have you tried it yourself?????

If yes, you should know that version 1.0 will run much faster, so surely 60fps on your htc or xperia!

  • You are lucky, the omnia uses older intel xscale core which is supported by fpse well, and the omnia has a low resolution which is always a bonus for faster graphics. Xperia and htc owners are better off using finalburn and genpp until the qualcomm ati chipset is supported better. Try xtrakt to c awesome high resolution graphics, better then nintendo ds, I can see a ds emulator being achievable and easily a psx emulator running properly if the hardware is supported like xtrakt does with the htc

  • lol

So, just SHOW me better emulation on a PPC^^

Xperia is great, HTC too, but strange, so far I have many questions from HTC owners who have lower fps than me,on fpsece 0.9.6.

And if you think it's so easy and achievable, why don't you make a DS emulator (since none exist so far....) ans show me a better psx emulator for ppc than FPSEce...

I'm not talking of amazing grafix here!

Of course, the omnia has a poor screen!

I'm just talking of making a psx game playable and fast on a ppc!

  • and what about hardware buttons touchpad? i have an Xperia.. does it work on landscape??

I know your testing in on wide, but you know, wide displays are more like WVGA, not the case for omnia... so, you think there would be any difference or just the same?? you should ask shtruck about this.

  • Fpsece 1.0 will support any resolution. And yes, the hardware touchpad will be implemented on lanscape ;)

  • will this work only if I get a omnia or will it work on a htc fuze/touch pro or epix?

  • will work on any windows mobile device with a strong enough cpu.

  • I use my apple bluetooth keyboard , not the most convenient (size) but confortable in trains/at home....

This PSX emulator is just... a must have !

  • The only way to play is with the gamepad?

  • No, there will be a virtual gamepad, like on the previous versions, nut since my screen is not multitouch, I rarely use it

  • MUST...HAVE.....

  • I think it has a problem. In 0.9.6, video wasn't full speed but it has sound, in 1, i think it hasn't

Btw , you said about a MSI BGP100 clone, where can i buy it?

  • What?? I've never succeded in running FF9 on fpsece, all the videos were making the game freeze!

You're right, there's no sound in ff9 videos for the moment (only in ff9, not all the other games, including FF7 and 8), but the developpers are on the way to fix it (that's also why I'me trying many games, it's a beta version^^)

  • for the gamepad, you can find it easily on ebay

  • how do you move without touching the screen?

  • MSI BGP100 bluetooth gamepad, compatible with many devices.

  • lucky ass fool

  • J'ai vu ton message sur FPSECE, t'as eu ca ou ? J'ai cherché à pas mal d'endroits, rien trouvé...

  • First!!!
