Y'know, standing up off the seat and leaning forward spins the rear wheel on just about any motorcycle. Power is when you can spin it sitting on the seat. Fail.
Just because he didn't spin the tire by sitting on the seat doesn't mean it can't. I have an '07 and it will spin the tire (not smoke) at 30 mph just by twisting the throttle. Not every bike can do that.
@14705cd Of course there are many scoots that can spin the tire while accelerating. My point was that his guy was purely posing, using a technique that demonstrates nothing except his willingness to buy a new rear tire. Fail.
I don't disagree with the fact that his "style" proved little to nothing, but I thought your original comment sounded like a V-Max doesn't have the power to do a burn out without standing up and leaning forward. Believe me, it has plenty of power to burn off a tire. When a tire has worn enough it should be replaced to be safe, then a few smoky burnouts are about all the tire is good for anyway. That reminds me, my rear tire probably ought to be replaced. BURNOUT TIME!
