The Buffalo Soldiers fought in the Indians Wars of the American West, Spanish American War of 1898, WWI and WWII.

In 1781 the continental army Rhode Island Rgt had many black soldiers, serving in one unit together with white men. But soon after the independence there was only segregation and even slavery. Many of the heroes found themselves again on the plantations.

Many more fought for the British, like the Indians they knew what was to be expected from the "patriots".

The 7th Cavalry got their butts in a sling again after the Little Big Horn Massacre, fourteen years later, the day after the Wounded Knee Massacre.
