they are two different kind of music,i listen a lot of music ad i play the bass,belive me, funk is different, for example airoplane(red hot chili peppers) an take five(i think the author is miles davis) listen each song,one is funky the other is jazz so you can easyly understand the difference anyhow no problems XD lol

yeah man i am familiar with both those songs. first off take five is by dave brubeck. but the thing is that jazz is such a giant section with many subcategories, all with different sounds. so to say that jazz only has one sound is rather inaccurate. and i play the bass, guitar, tenor, alto, drums, trumpet, piano, sitar and tabla, and im pretty sure which goes where. chili peppers is more funk rock.
