I liked this season. The show was a different show for the last two seasons, but not neccesarily a bad show!Although I wish Barbara Bel Geddes and Charlene Tilton stayed for the final season, as Southfork appeared very 'empty' during this time.
... What the hell happenened to such a teriffic show?.. No wonder we stopped watching after the 8th season... it lost it's way and became 'cheap'... No?
OMG!...from 1:08 until 1:13...I just can stop laughing!!! It almost looked like a Three Stooges reel!! I LOVE Dallas!! THE greatest Prime-Time Drama of them all!
Bobby ewing was the man and the man who played him "patrick duffy" aw he had the sexiest wives pam and jenna bobby was a very good person other his evil brother j.r well i like bobby better than j.r because bobby had a little sense of morality about him at least bobby did'nt sleep around with every whore like j.r did cheating on sue ellen from 1978 till 1991 when the series endeed
The trailer had too much info on the up-coming season, the storyline with JR in the mental hospital does tell you JR has gone out, it does not keep you in suspense like the previous seasons.
This was the worst season of the lot,In the old days If someone like Michelle laid her self on a plate to JR(which she does, she stands in front of him bollock naked),he would have her in the sack quicker than he would knock off a bourbon. He rejects herI'm convinced it was the intrroduction of Cally that saw the demise of Dallas.JR was bad,but not as bad as his high standards, because when he was at his worst, nobody could touch him/..
Because he had April's body buried in France rather than bringing her back to America - even though April's mother gave Bobby permission to hold the funeral over there
They could have had a second 2 hour finale where Bobby is temporarily reconciled with Pam. They talk and Pam explains her kidnap from Katherine and reminise about old times. Pam tells him she can't see christopher or cliff as not to confuse the issue and she doesn't want to hurt em. They say their emotional goodbye and Bobby returns home, where he hears the bang. may 3rd 'conundrum' , may 9th 'hello and goodbye again diggers daughter'. The two seperate finales for JR and Bobby. too late now.
The problem with this season was the absence of all but three original cast members. You needed Miss Ellie, Sue Ellen, Ray, Pam, etc...They didn't seem able to produce all the people listed in the credits. They killed April and Callie was gone after the first few episodes of this season. IDK what they were thinking.
A dreadful season! The whole Paris story was just frustrating and downright annoying and having Jordan Lee betray Bobby was ridiculous. Susan Lucci was a mosquito I hoped JR would show up to squash and Barbara Eden? So obviously an in-joke and a pathetic bid for ratings.
I'll say this. I liked Sasha Mitchell's character. He was the perfect antagonist to JR. And when he was written out, he and JR had finally reconciled. It was very touching.
This must had been what was intended to be had April not gotten killed but in reality there never was a scene with April slapping Sheila nor her and Bobby having a child together.
Yeah, this is painful to watch. The only scne that looked interesting was the one with Clayton, b/c it actually involved the FAMILY. Isn't that why they erased the Dream Season - b/c it didn't focus on the family???
Terrible season - topped off by Eden's role. She takes over Ewing Oil and gives it to April's sister? Jeez! And Susan Lucci??? BLECH!!!! What made Dallas were the JR/Bobby/Cliff/ conflicts; in other words, it used to be a soap for men. This season is not even similar to that concept.
couldnt agree more. To a certain degree Dallas got away with Bobby's return but once Pam, Donna and Sue Ellen left the show they didnt seem to know what to do with the guys. If only Dallas could have stayed as great as the first 7 years.Having said that...theres never been a show as great.

Barbara Eden and Susan Lucci were the only good things about the final season.

@DaxShaw I believe Barbara Eden was good during her brief stint in Dallas, but Susan Lucci not so much!

Is Sheila (Hillary) the same height as Lucy? She looked like she needed a step ladder when she was kissing Bobby.

bobby never had a daugther. He was hallucinating after April was killed off and dreaming about her all the time as if she was still alive.

The last 3 seasons of Dallas sucked. Alot of the Major players had left and the stories became so dull. It became a shadow of the show it used to be.

Yeah, most of it was not very good. But there are some good moments too (especielly with J.R)
