  • is this show on dvd sale?

  • OH YEAH!

  • how does he do that ringing sound? :p noob question

  • i actually can't hear gunn and mastelotto on double trio albums and on live performances with double trio

  • @turtlliwdnifuoyehthr gunn is sometimes a bit different to hear, depending on what instrument tony levin is playing. Mastelotto is usually very good to hear (you can hear him here very well). The drums are kind of hard panned sideways so left channel is Mastelotto, right is Bruford. Thats however a bit more difficult with levin and gunn, fripp and belew. They are not as hard panned as the drums.

  • best musicians ever

  • Who's the guy that's not Tony Levin? Does he just tour with them or was he on the album too?

  • @ltaurum trey gunn

  • @poodleenvy he was on many albums.the first being the double trio Vroom

  • They really didnt need Meatloaf on the drums for this tour

  • wtf!!!! fk crazy!!!!

  • what a smokin' number by the crims...yeah baby !!!

  • King Crimson... the band that goes places where no other dares to tread... for 40+ years

  • Very good! Балдею от них!

  • No pussyfooting here

  • just realized I was holding my breath while watching some of this....

  • My fave Crimso song for sure.

    Great recording of it...hey !

  • Una sola palabra...FRIPP !!!

  • :::::: simple as that:::::::=  quality-big-time artist that you d,ont see today 2011-2012 and more, montreal-fans!!

  • this is one of my favorite king crimson songs. belew's voice is so strong and clear!

  • Amazing!!!

    Robert Fripp!!

He has a gift for music!!

  • Wow.old.hm.bye.

  • Fantastic band and STILL not in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame . .totally bogus! . .Belew, Fripp, Levin, Bruford made some jaw-dropping music in the early 80's. JUst saw Belew, Levin, and Mastellatto last night in MA . .fookin unreal!

  • @DrRussPhd No fake, man. It should be the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame. Abba's in? Not KC? Not Rush?

  • @RedBarchettehx it would be an insult to crimson to put them in the HOF. that's like putting god in the human beings HOF

  • @DrRussPhd No fake, man. It should be the Rock and Roll Hall of Shame. Abba's in? Not KC? Not Rush? BTW, I saw Stick Men and ABPT in KY about two months ago. THAT was a show! Kind of felt like I amost got to see KC, which I never did. The stage in the club was about dark enough for me to imagine Mr. Fripp hanging out at the back of the stage, though.

  • @RedBarchettehx Clearly ABBA is a better band, the market has spoken.

  • @dbBosco1 For your information. I like ABBA also, but they are a pop music format, and KC is progressive, so to say one is better than the other you would have to do that within their own categories. And I see you are a Rush fan, Rush is not in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of fame either.

  • @dynmohum

It's a simple issue of economics in terms of a free market society. I'm not comparing anyone musically.

  • @dynmohum p.s. ABBA fucking blows

  • King Crimson is one of the few bands that I prefer live versions of their songs to some of their studio versions.

  • awesome perfomance in 1995 in japan I love this band

  • Masters!

  • Indicts misuse of mind--absolutely unique in theme, lyrically--absolutely unique, musically--absolutely unique band--

  • A-LU-CI-NAN-TE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!

  • Belew: you´re the fucking Master !!!

  • Is not one live session. There are present in this video,2 live session, mixed in one video...Horrible!!...Song is a masterpiece!

  • @9DrummerFromHell1 FYI: There´s TWO drummers playing, drummer from hell... 1 git., 1 dr., 1 bs. LEFT, 1 git., 1 dr., 1 bs. RIGHT. I had the luck of being born early and saw it live in 1996. This is how it looked and sounded. Get the DVD and find out yourself, or watch and listen closely to this vid. Cheers.

  • @grafvonhattn ok...now i see...

  • I believe this from Trak tour. Saw them in Concussion that year.

  • Who can dislike a King Crimsom's song?

    can`t believe that

  • @Befepaz

People who like pop, techno or rap...

  • Easily the best live version of "Frame By Frame" I've heard yet.

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Polyrhytmic at it's best! :D Robert Fripp- a genius! :D

  • @MeroTorero No mistake. It's supposed to be polymetric, so it sounds weird on purpose.

  • Wow this song is like an LSD trip :-)

  • doesnt fripp make a mistake at the beggining when he starts following Belew?

  • @MeroTorero yep

  • @MeroTorero yeah, they weren't exactly in time with eachother

  • @fryBASS Intentional....which means one will either label then 'genius' or 'noisy'. I went to a 2008 concert and noted that some in the audience were in a bit of shock, many/most of the rest were just blown away (i.e. either you love it or hate it). In fact, there were people dancing in the aisles at the concert I went to - and they were dancing to songs like this one (which I'd never consider 'danceable')!

  • @trident68 This is one of the few types of music that would make me actually want to dance. Another would be Baroque music. I could easily call them genius since there are electronic recording techniques that derive origins from this band. I don't like their music because they're geniuses, though. I like it because it is heavily polyphonic, which I enjoy immensely. I definitely feel a mixture of Indian and African influence mixed with the Western ideals. It's still pretty fresh today.

  • @MeroTorero Fripp plays a 13/8 pattern against Belew's 7/8 pattern and after 7 repeats they come back together. It's on purpose.

  • Pure excellence !!

  • FUCKING MASTERPIECE!

  • Wow. Listened to this tune from the album Discipline when I was in my early 20's (some 20 odd years ago). I used to listen to it among others (Talking Heads - Remain In light album) when under the influence of LCD whilst watchin' the pictures on my massive collage I had made. I still have some of the original pics of that collage :) No longer tripped out though :( I cannot buy this album anywhere!

  • @Astrogreenmonkey - It's amazing you ate Liquid Crystal Displays and are still around to tell the story!

  • @Astrogreenmonkey LCD lol

  • @Astrogreenmonkey amazon for 5 bucks(your welcome)

  • só tem músico de verdade nessa banda

  • Epic.

  • blew...my...fucking...mind...

  • tonys backing vocals add so much to this song i hadnt realized until now

  • @ mackthefilet cool thanks

  • enfermedad mental total!

  • aside from the michael bolton hair on adrian, this is sooooooo mint.

  • mmm not the best mix i've heard but still, always an impressive song to watch being played

  • when they played Mexico City the last time I believe this was an encore. Lights came on, we still wanted more... they came back out again even after some people had left and played this... awesome night

  • the drumming at the beginning is curious, i can't tell what that fluttering sound is, and who is making it...having 6 incredible musicians together is so much fun to listen to and watch, Pat is having a lot of fun i think

  • @MatthuStull If you look around 4:20 you can see some metal object that is making the sound. It is a metal ring about the diameter of a snare drum, maybe an inch or two in width. I haven't seen one of those before, but I think it might be some type of a tambourine.

The weird thing is that I can't see him playing it in the beginning of the video.

  • Tony Levin is such a badass

  • -Hey you lover the light. Too much intensity.

-I turned it off when he started to sing.

  • lovely

  • No need to to put gauze over the lens. The guys don't mind being seen.

  • i always hated the fact that belew got much more attention in the band that robert fripp did (the only original remaining member)

  • @MrBigmuffer robert fripp never wanted to get some atention even though he controls everything about king crimson!

  • @MrBigmuffer ...do you really think so? :)

  • Even though there are extra guys it still sounds like 98% the same as the original Discipline 4. Shows how much they contribute lol

  • Chile, papá. Proporcionalmente el país más rockero del MUNDO.

  • What is that on Pat Mastelotto's snare?

  • thats tight how i can see King Crimson perform Frame By Frame on Youtube. I can see them perform decades ago and recently. Im sure that Fripp never anticipat3d music to take such a turn into the internet and worldwide.

    Some deep shit, yeanno?

  • @MrDeviousraccoon Fripp knows all.

  • i wish Fripp was louder, but otherwise it's really great!

  • Beatifull song

  • Great song, great band

    8-))

  • Awesome

  • high
