ooooh i like the jeté - flip - to fish dive a lot :)
cranko was a genius but i was brought up on macmillan's version so no matter how much i try to keep an open mind, royal ballet's version wins. and yes i know that macmilland was very inspired by cranko, it is very obvious.
he is such a good dancer, and she is just divine...
I can't quite make up my mind - which I prefer, MacMillan or Cranko. The Cranko pair look more mature than the MacMillan, who do look like two teenagers in love. For some of it, I definitely prefer the Cranko, very much as I love the MacMillan.
As usual, this couples' dancing was exquisite.
(Shame on you kabailvansko:- in spite of ALL your fabulous videos, the spelling for 'Kranko' is 'Cranko'!!)
the dancers are amazing, and the show is pleasant, but I am sorry to say that even if the figures are lovely in themselves, the choreography does not reflect the spirit of the ballet... the steps are supposed to be in perfect adequation with the music !!

@tedsler Although I adore Cranko, this is not my favorite version of this pas de deux either.

The choreography is gorgeous (is it Cranko?) and so were they.
I've never seen Lucia Lacarra in anything where she wasn't sublime.
