nfs has announced that it will make 2 games a year. a simulation/something new racer in the first half and an arcade/fun/cops racer in the second half.

Eg 1. shift, shift 2, prostreet, shift gt2, world

I mean it on iRacing, it's got everything but the g-force you feel in a car, unfortunately this might not be fun for everyone since a lot of the more powerful stuff is a nightmare to handle. The NASCAR Sprint Cup vehicle with its 750 hp seems to have enough power to break traction in every gear if you're rough with throttle/brake control. (I went rough in second gear as I was approaching the top end of the rev range and I started seeing it did not like this gesture.)

shift blows its not even close to a simulator... ive tried it with two different wheels and I still cant get it to feel even remotely realistic. Buy GTR2 instead, its a much better racing game.

@aingaran2003 Its got perfect handling. Ive forced this car around the Nurburgring and finished it at 7 minutes 40 seconds; Clean lap. Where as the Bugatti only managed 7 minutes 30; a higher tier than the M3. (M3 is a tier 2 car)

ima be honest here at first i was thinken this game was ganna be another arcade type. after playin forza 3 and then playing shift, shifts physics are incredible, no other game feels this good. its fast smooth and when tunning its effects you and feel when changing a setting. but forza man its slow and feel undone. has nice cars but, but im still wondering why that stupid glitch where your revs stop for few sec and then you accelerate, still wondering why that hasnt been fixed yet.

Can't please everybody. A lot of people hated those NFS games so EA outsourced the game's development to the makers of the GTR series to take the series back to where it started. Shift is widely believed to be the best game in the series and I agree.

The first six need for speed games that were released from 1994 until 2002 were the best and were real need for speed games. After that it all went downhill with garbage soundtracks and tuner cars only. But then EA made a comeback to the way need for speed use to be by releasing need for speed shift. But the soundtrack still sucks in that game because it does not have a original soundtrack like need for speed high stakes and need for speed 2 did which was created for the actual game.
