The thing was that they were creating this on the go and trying to do it like they used to - live in the studio as a band and it was challenging for them. Then of course it was scrapped and Abbey Road became the new direction and boy did that work! Still fascinating to see them at work, REALLY working it out. Whenever it was on the line, the Beatles stepped up and hit it out. They really got back on the rooftop.
this is just nothing, like the whole film let it be -- where´s the "making of"?
all they do is giggling and biting nails -- and they never really got it right, compared to their other albums "let it be" is lousy, every song reflecting the bad atmosphere and selfconsciousness
Some assembly required- it seems like they'll never get it right, but of course they did. This is what made "Let It Be" fascinating to watch- following the creative process along as they assemble songs we now all know by heart.
what some people still don't get, is that the Beatles are our Shakespeare or Beethoven, people will look back on this band a hundred, even 200 years from now, were soooooo lucky to see this!
holy fuck the group started to break up after brian epstein died. not because of that zipper head yoko ono. during the recording of the white album the group was just about done.
John was in love with Yoko and thats why it sucks so badly. I dont think anyone will really know if they were in love with each other of if Yoko was just using him or whatever. Only Yoko and John, i guess. I still dont like her tho
I read from a couple sources online that the "Jojo" from "Tucson, Arizona" was actually based on a bar in Tucson, Arizona called Jojo's bar, apparently on 22nd Street.
I know McCartney had/has a ranch there in Tanque Verde, but I wanna know specifically where this bar was (the building, any info, etc.)
Yoko destroyed a perfectly good band. Give her credit for being the amazing Con Artist she was/is. She pulled the wool over Lennon's eyes somehow, then hooked him on Heroin so she could really have control. She is really a despicable person. Watch the Imagine Film when John & George start talking about the Beatles days and having a good laugh. She shoots Lennon a look and the good times ended right there.
Yoko didn't destroy a perfectly good band, the band hadn't really been perfect since Revolver. John was rapidly changing since he got into LSD. George was becoming more and more pissed because all his great songs were turned down by Lennon/McCartney. McCartney stood up to be the leader of the band when Brain Epstein died which John didn't like 'cause he had always been the leader. The band was falling apart before John and Yoko got with each other.
You know what is very irritating is that all our favorite bands from the 60's have all sorts of great footage on YouTube, proving that the footage exists and yet.....try to find it on DVD.
Note to all you greedy record companies hording all this stuff...people will pay A LOT of money for this stuff!!! Get it!!
Ari721 thank you for putting up this video. It's great to see them rehearsing in the making of this song and having a fun time doing it. It's great to see them goofing off with each other, especially John Lennon. Thank you for the rare video.
Why the film quality is so bad and not in color is a wonder.

A second great tape of the piece in process of creation, and that evident in the really loud laughter and connection; take 2 only of how many many?

John & George Arn't Alive, If U Knew History, Then You'd Know. If U Didnt, Then You Wouldnt Know. Study Beatles History, Would Ya?

John actually said in an interview,"I started the band, so I ended it." That's a true fact!!

Is it possible John Lennon was exaggerating when he said the Let It Be sessions were "hell"? John? Exaggerating? Can it be?????

Why is the cameraman focusing and zooming a lot on George's face? I just wonder.

Maybe the cameraman really likes George, who Knows?
