When do tickets go on sale for this year's Fireworks train? Because it seems it's the only steam powered train to Hockessin this year in the summer. Is a diesel going to pull the train back, why can't they use the passing siding and run the steam around the train and still have the diesel as helper? When do you anticipate this train will sell out?
@FatSeal45 Ok, listen up here, im gonna tell you this once. First of all, we put the diesel on for a good reason. Now yes, 98 can pull that train up the 1.5% grade. She has pulled 7 cars up that grade. However, she was younger then. Right now, this machine is 101 years old. Why stress something like that and risk something happening then it never runs again.
Now, about the speed, money is tight right now, and a small operation like this, it is hard to come up with the money to fix the track.
nice fotage, wish it had scenes of the train at hoekesin turning around or what not, and departing it, i cant find a vid that shows that, but good vid, 5/5

@FatSeal45
It's none of your business how they run their trains. Their trains, their rules.
P.S.: Learn proper spelling and grammar!

45-60 mins of fireworks huh. That's a deal. Much better than waiting an hour and a half for 13 mins of fireworks at a local hospital. Very nice vid

The train goes back the same way it came. No engines were switched.
