Im reading the bible as I am listening to all of these anointed songs, and I am reading 1 Corinthians and about the division amongst the church and how horrible it is. It completely takes the focus off God and puts it on the people who are NOTHING without Christ. Stupidity really. Make the Lord your focus, so that he may reveal to you His power and Love for you. I didnt know a Kim Walker existed until a few days ago and i have never listened to so many songs of one person that i thought and felt so blessed by. Jesus is truely the one being lifted up but He truely blessed you to bless others.

Many of them were previously labeled something else, from "Methodist" to "Catholic" (in the latter case, even the Pope recognized them, but they still get labeled as "charismatic" ) .

They need to stop paying so much attention to Norman Vincent Peale, and more attention to what the Bible states rather directly, to those who have no interest in mitigating it with the traditions of men.
As far as I'm concerned the most destructive propagators of false doctrine around here are Hannegraff and company.
In Jesus day there was no shortage of " newfangled" teaching but the greatest threat to the truth were the traditions of men, not the new stuff. It's still that way.

DENOMINATIONS are nothing. Jesus wants your heart not a religion. Also, It is a mistake to assume that speaking in tongues is the fruit of the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit results from being filled with the Spirit. The fruit of the Spirit is mentioned in Galatians 5:22, 23 and includes nine characteristics. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance.” None of the sign-gifts are included in this nine-fold cluster of fruit.
I agree that denominations are nothing, so why are you denying gifts that are clearly laid out in scripture, and given to the church, because of what your denomination taught you?

@MusicCityMiracle At least not normative now and she didn't use that by Biblical teaching. It is to be done in church, with an interpreter. I have yet to visit one church where there is an interpreter. So it seems now days to be mostly gibberish and the Bible says to not speak in gibberish.
