@LearnWithLatch I think you might be a bit confused. First, those are Windows Phone 7 developers, so they're Microsoft employees, not Microsoft fans. Second, zombie processes are a concept from UNIX, so the term is meaningless and irrelevant in Windows CE. Third, I don't know why you think zombie processes should have a negative connotation, because they occur during normal multiprocess programs. They just mean the parent hasn't had a chance to wait on the child yet.

I get bothered every time I see one of Microsofts promotional videos for a software/hardware launch. The last one I saw was for the Windows 7 launch. People running up and down a large office hall and clapping each others hands.

If you don't think sales numbers matter, what do you think of market share? In less than one year, Win7 has over 15% OS market share (crushing all iterations of Mac OS X by itself). Windows, overall, has 91% of the OS market, which is more dominating even than Google's search market share (84%). Game. Set. Match.
