  • This was not an accident.  It was very intentional. It was a tease intended to whet the audience's appetite to see the new set when Nightly News was to begin using it the following week. The doors Brian was trying to open actually lead to the back of a rear screen projection area. I'm pretty certain he knew it was locked before he tried to open it.
