I played the demo and found the controls really wonky and hard to get used to. The demo isn't available to download anymore so I can't try again. Do you get used to the controls eventually?

If you're a wipeout elitest (like me) and you are obsessed with the series so much that you've had hours of practice (like me, again) than yes, you do get used to the controls.
