@661miguel It updates the connection between your phone and the network. Anything from making your signal stronger to alleviating problems with the phone itself (PRL update restarts phone too, which could fix other issues)

Bluetooth version is updated with the firmware. The most current firmware is v06. You need to visit a Verizon store to do that. It is free and takes under an hour.

Once a month is probably sufficient. If you don't have the latest PRL right away, its not the end of the world. I would update your firmware as soon as you know its available. Check with other users first, usually firmware updates alleviate problems, but can also create more.

There is. However doing so runs the risk of you permanently damaging your own phone. So unless you absolutely have to have the newest firmware, i'd probably stick with the one you have.

Is there something someone can do about the phone not responding? I don't mean as in freezing, but like, sometimes i have to click things up to 5 times to get it to go where I want it to. The key acknowledges I touched it, but nothing happens except it lighting up.

If its the browser, you're out of luck. It has to do with the way it was designed, so links might be difficult. I recommend recalibrating your phone, that most certainly will help.

Try *228 option 1. This will reprogram your phone and update newest PRL. Let me know if that doesn't work, you may need to take your phone in.

Updates your Roaming list. It also resets your phone, which often fixes many problems it may be having. Often times reset your phone can improve signal and connection problems.

This is for updating the PRL, not the firmware. Take your phone to your nearest verizon store to have your firmware updated. v06 is the newest. This service is also free.
