  • ISSO DA FORMULA INDY OU DA FORMULA MUNDIAL

  • And some people still think Buddy Lazier deserved to win this race.

  • what is this???

  • I would love to see Montoya attempt the double!

  • Thanks Montoya !!!!!!! Right there next to Ayrton Senna

  • 2000 wins? how many races did hi do? 5000? Please tell me where hi win these races i mean the 2000 and you did say that he won these when he was rookie... was he a rookie for 10 years or what? im not saying he cant drive couse he can but not as well as Schumacher or Hakkinen or even Hamilton (who i dont really like).

  • Montoya is a stupid, changing to nascar, that are the most boring races ever, f1 rocks!, did u watch the last Canada GP?

  • @soijiro666 You do know your F1 officials somewhat kicked Montoya out witch their Schumy #(#$ sucking. He should of stayed here in america, he would have multiple INDY 500 and multiple IRL/CART championships and possibly be the greatest IRL/CART driver to come since Andretti.

  • Tell me when Montoya can win in NASCAR on an oval

  • Umm excuse me, the first rookie to win since 1966.

  • Whoever says that he was lucky or that those drivers let him win or that the cars are mediocre are just denying the fact that JPM is one of the best drivers in the world. The only reason guys like Michael Schumacher and Hakkinen have more wins is because most F1 races are fixed or the McLaren and Ferrari cars have better engines. So, if Montoya was the first rookie driver to win the Indy 500 and you say it was by luck then you are obviously a dumb idiot who knows nothing about racing.

  • montoya was in F1 for only 5 (five) full seasons not for "over a decade" get your facts straight and if u dont know about racing dont comment, 8 victories is a LOT taking in consideration that ferrari and schumacher were the ones who reigned and dominated those years and only montoya and a very few more could do something to beat him and ferrari which was clearly the most dominant and better prepared team...over a decade my ass...go watch baseball

  • This is the MOST BORING SPORT EVER!! It so boring that it just become nice when someone suffers a havy crash ... I PREFER F1...Much better!!!

  • @Embraer091 F1 and nascar are boring and exciting in different ways

F1 (and road course racing in general): Is exciting because driving the track is more difficult, but its boring because cars generally get spread out.

Nascar/indy: Its easier to drive the track, but the fact that cars are always nearby makes the racing both exciting to watch and asks a lot of the drivers because theyre runnin door to door at 170 MPH+

  • @1981gooner Go on tell us your name, shows us how´s in done eh!.Almighty goner!.

  • @1981gooner Hahahaha! Keep breathing from the scar.YOU SCUM.

  • @1981gooner Ha! "best car in F1" blimey you know so much, your english kills are awesome.I´m wating with baited breath to hear about your name in any racing category, and yeah still i´ll be seating down!.Bye bye goner.

  • @1981gooner You just mention great tracks like Monaco, which it happen that JPM won it,and still you called "shit". Wow perhaps you can say your name so we can follow you driving in any category, something i doubt very, very much.Futhermore I can´t believe Goggle is saying that JPM best year were at Mclaren. I got news for you,you are miss inform.to such extend you´re missleading people from the truth. Move along!.

  • @1981gooner Whiles you put that out you then said "not that great" Erm?? futhermore you add "pretty average". Hmm pretty average.Your sentences are astonishing, cleraly have an issue with Americans.Ironicly it sums up your comment.Btw LH is good yes, but not on another level, like AS ever was,JPM,MH,FA. And about MS "tearing up" F1.Ha! anybody can tear up whiles rules are for others as the FIA,fiddlerrari-inter-aid ,give the blind eye.JPM face all that.Is that what you mean about "tearing up"?.

  • I suppose that it would be simply great to have Montoya in Ferrari in 2011 and 2012

Barrichello has shown to be very much competitive, Mercedes is prearing the next year ca right for schumacher and even Raikkonen i's supposed to be back in 1 at Renault (we know he like champagne...)

So........considering this context ...well .....I suppose that Montoya in ferrari would be at leat the less strange thing. And by the way as thousands of people I suppose it would be absolutely a fantastic thing

  • Montoya was good at cart series, even indy 500 he was champion and everything was good and all... he screw up when he forgot that he was a simple guy with a good team back up and he work his way to the finish line

  • Whats Lazier bitching about, 1 victory x2 runner ups, is pretty good

  • I'm not the biggest Montoya fan, but he is one of the BEST drivers in the world then and still is.

  • he never the best mansell senna shucmacer beat him hands down

  • montoya could win the tripple crown! he just needs Le Mans

  • Montoya is like Jim Clark, he can get in anything and driver near the front.

I think he should do Le Mans.

  • @Erkal2006 .. " there´s nothing he can´t do in a race car "

  • @Yuyo1977 why the quotation marks? i noticed my own mistake of using driver instead of drive..

  • its indeed a quotation, cause it is a line from Days of Thunder movie.

    regards ;)

  • @Erkal2006

he may be of the same mould but I wouldn't say he was as insanely gifted as Jim Clark was.

  • Let me know if he is not one of the best talent driver at world. 1998 Fórmula 3000 Internacional

    1999 Indy Car Series

    2000 Indy 500

8 Victories at F1, Incluying Monaco and Monza. Did amazing pass to M. Shmaher and never scare him.

Right now Is Doing Great At Nascar and is fighting for the Champ in his 3th year ,

Now u should consider all that ,

  • Totally agreed ,and if i may I would like to add also the two Daytona 24H 2007 and 2008 and in 2009 he has been second at 0.6 second doing a terrific work in mist because Porche was obviously much faster and took meters in the rectilinear part

  • @jorgitovive83 but was stupid, fat and unfit and never lived up to his potential.

  • @jorgitovive83 Id is odd how one of the best of indy and f1 can go to nascar and struggle to hard to stay in the top 15

  • @jorgitovive83 Remind me how many F1 titles he won?

Ah yes, none. Zilch. ZERO. Just another F1 Reject doing well in the lesser motorsport of the world, nothing more.

  • @Stitch216 Reject? Seriously? Even without a title, he's regarded as one of the fastest and most aggressive Grand Prix drivers of all time, not to mention his stunning overtaking moves in places previously not thought possible. Senna Curves vs Michael Schumacher in Brazil ring a bell? Bus stop chicane vs Michael Schumacher at Spa ring a bell? Remember, he was up against the all conquering Ferraris, and he finished second to them twice. Pretty impressive considering the competition.

  • @jorgitovive83 in f1 - 7 victories, Monza 2001,Monaco, Hockenheim 2003, Brazil 2004, Monza, Silverstone y Brazil 2005

  • @jorgitovive83 Totally agree and let add that once very soon he showed to be the best he has been clearly boycotted in F1 as easily can be proved.

And ,about the inimitable career ,let me add the Daytona 24H - 2007 and 2008. (by the way in 2009 ...second at only 0.5 seconds) against a clearly faster Porche.

No doubt , as you correctly say , one of the best and (after God Ayrton ) probably the best.

  • @jorgitovive83 Wow... fanboy heerreeeee

  • @jorgitovive83 U missed his Daytona 24h win! The guy is one of those all around racers that simply don't exist anymore. He'll get any type of car and figure it out right away! If he didn't have so many double whoppers with cheese he would have been a F1 champion

  • Montoya is surely the most talented driver of the last 15 years . To stop him in F1 the only way has been the dirty game involving Ferrari ,Blu Ferrari (Sauber) ,Fia Judges.Never before in the history of sport there has been a so large dirty game to boycott someone. But all that made simply much more brith the incredible attitude of the most talented driver of the last 15 years , Juan Pablo Montoya

  • thats the biggest load of trash i've ever heard. So he was better than Mika Hakkinen and Michael Shcumacher?

  • I said one of the best At that moment, thats why he then get to F1, Best Drivers at the world,

  • @weallfollowmanutd, Its true american media call their champions "world" champions. But Montoya is definitely talented and I would rate him above Hakkinen for sure though Mika won 2 championship

  • These cars look so rubbish. They were nothing in comparison with the cars from the late 90s. Buddy was mediocre, so no wonder Montoya won by such a distance. Indy 500 was not what it once was.

  • Thats becouse not body cant beat him, he was one of teh best driver at the moment, then F1

  • You are totally right and Montoya was the best also in F1 but when at once he showed to be very much better than Schumacher outclassing him (Brazil 2001) the dirty game started

  • @weallfollowmanutd You do realize that this was from 2000, so thats a year away from the late 90's....

  • wat the fuck. commentator says "he is the best driver in the world" yay i won by racing in a circle

  • Montoya freakin dominated this race, there was absolutely no competition for him at all...

  • was'nt good enough in F1

  • Simply the most talented driver of the last ten years

  • hahahaha!. How easy we can find out when someone is full of it. the comment below is the perfect example of it. Enjoy people and try not to forget his user name for future reference 'quaeck'y.

  • The champion One Montoya ...and that's all ....don't you agree ?

  • Indeed man!. The title is pretty accurate too! MONTOYEAH.

  • Why would ANY self respecting driver want to do this?

  • lol agreed, what the fuck is this, drive in a circle.... whoop de doo

  • The idea that you disrespect the Indy 500 shows you know NOTHING about motorsports

The Indy 500 was so big in the 50s, 60s, and 70s that Formula 1 made the 500 a points paying race towards the Formula 1 championship so drivers from F1 could race it

Many legends have won at Indy and though the race has lost alot of prestige recently it has more history then other track in the world

  • no F1 driver raced indy when it was a points race, there were rumors that fangio was going to in the late 50's but he deemed it too unsafe.

  • Also, the Indianpolis oval is one of the toughest ovals in all of motorsports, Nigel Mansell has hit the wall here, Mario Andretti, almost everyone.

There's more crashes in one week of practice at Indy then there probably is in 10 races at the Nurburgring

Taking flat turns at 230mph and sliding rihgt up next to a concrete wall is in no way easy or for the cowardly

  • ,,, boring

  • Hey! Muito Obrigado Rodrigo, Vc termos um amigo.Abraco do UK

  • Pasaron 34 años desde la ultima vez (en 1966) que un novato, que corriera por primera vez en Indianapolis 500 hubiera ganado alli. Solo unos pocos novatos han ganado alli en casi 90 años en Indy.

  • That's why Paul got ripped off. The Earlers said "not 3 in a row". What a joke.

  • he is exciting to watch in any race, F1, 24 hours of rolex, nascar, indy and who knows what else?

  • Chalk one up for CART that day.... montoya wooped on the rest of the field

  • Absolutely the best.

  • definitivamente el mejor piloto de la historia nadie mejor que Montoya

  • " This race is been the biggest race that i Won in my life ".thx so mnuch... Amazing Sentences
