I have pastel pink hair, but when I bleach and tone my roots they're never as white as the rest of my hair so my roots are more orange than they are pink. Any advice please please ?

actually, another way of doing this is to add the dye into your bottle of shampoo(or conditioner,but i'v only tried shampoo), and then just shake it really well for the dye to mix with the shampoo/cond. and thats all, use your shampoo/cond. normally... but if the color is getting darker then use unmixed shampoo to fade it out...so its like dying your hair while washing it... lol

@ChanRawrer Not really, cause then you dye it while your hair is wet, and I don't feel like the color comes out right. But I felt like it worked really well for keeping the color nice when I had shocking pink hair :)

@sebastiansimonxo Doing it that way isn't re-dyeing your hair. That's not the point. The point is to slow down the fading process by counteracting it with having the dye present while washing it out. It's not supposed to make it darker. Its meant to keep it darker for longer.

How long do you leave the dye in for? I mixed a pastel shade but left it on for a couple of hours and it turned out the colour it the dye is before it is mixed with conditioner.

Ive been trying to dye my hair this color for the longest of time, Ive mixed Splat pink with conditioner like a whole bottle of it, the bottle was brand new, and it was still like a darker pink. Then yesterday I tried to use Manic Panic Hot hot pink and once again i used a whole big bottle of conditioner.. Same effect and I am doing it on like.. basically white hair.. Any ideas? PLEASE HELP ME! thanks!

i order flamingo pink from directions cause I´ve been told the pastel pink dont work out, my hair is bleached already the other day I re dye my roots that they are black,but they are like yellow, I washed my hair with a silver shampoo and they still look yellow, I order a white toner too, should I put some on my roots until I dye with the pink?

@kusanagi4rocks I think it works best to use a darker pink (like Cupcake Pink) and then just dilute it to the tone you want :) And yes toner and silver shampoo can remove yellow tones in your hair, but I have to bleach my roots twice before it's not yellow anymore! xo

I'm totally new to this whole bleach and hair dye stuff but I saw someone with pale baby blue hair and I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I'm going to go to a salon to get it done but i don't know if they'll have the colors I'll want....

But what I really wanted to ask was... when you're doing touchup you say you mix the dye with conditioner... how long do you leave it in your hair.... or do you just use it in the show

@StephanieLikesTea you have to leave it in for as long as you can semi-dyes aren't like normal dyes so they wont harm your hair its just like conditioner thats why they use conditioner to dilute tha color to make it pastel. my hair is currently pink nd i have to dilute tha color to make it more baby pink nd i usually leave my dye in fer a day or a few hours. tha longer you leave it in tha longer it will last.

Hair grows around 1 cm. every month, you can't really change that, but eat healthy and take good care of it. I think that's pretty much all I can say :)

Yes, I think Special Effects are much better. Just mix it until it gets really light and the neon will disappear. I think all Schwarzkopf products are good, also their bleaches xo

great tip to mix the color with conditioner, so simple (why didn't i think about that.. :D)! i will try it today, i'm so excited, i love this pastel pink hair and in my apprenticeship (as a hairdresser!!!!!) i wasn't allowed to do colours like that! :(

I'm a hair stylist, and usually know a lot about hair. But I'm too scared to try this on my own head. It took me so long to get my hair this whitish blonde color, and every color I put on it STICKS FOREVER. I'm nervous that the pastel will never wash out. Does yours ever wash back out to white, or does it just get very pale salmony ?

My hair goes back to blonde super fast, you could look at my new video, I dyed my hair rainbow-ish a week ago, and already it's so light. When I wash it with silver shampoo after not dying it two weeks, it's almost white blonde again xoxo
