@metalguyn I seriously, seriously doubt your dane is larger than Rugen. How tall is he at the shoulders? Rugen is 41" at the shoulder. This video doesn't show how big he actually is. You need to take a look at my other videos to reference his size.
@julebugmama Actually you are right. He doesnt look so tall from the videos. Our Dane Sambuca measured in at 39 inches. Unfortunately he has wobblers and suffers from hot spots. I guess I could post a video, although if youd like to see pictures of him i can send them to an email or link you to our facebook.
@metalguyn I'm really sorry to hear that Sambuca has wobblers. It's never easy, because they are like our children. But you can heal the hot spots by adding ACV to his water. Rugen suffered through a staph infection, and it cleared the hot spots right up. Giving him omega 3 fatty acids will also help alot. Topically, I really like Spa Diggity Dog. I don't have a facebook, but if you put up a video let me know. I love great danes and I would love to see Sambuca.
would be hilarious if you were sleeping one day and when you suddenly woke up you would stare in the eyes of this big big great dane... i think you at first will freak out but in the end laugh hard hahahha!
@junjunjavier He doesn't drool ALL THE TIME......only when he is eating and when he gets excited. He doesn't run around 24-7 with drool hangin' out his mouth. Besides, I love him unconditionally, drool or no drool.......he's an awesome dog with a beautiful soul!

@cthrukira You should get one, Danes are really awesome family dogs! Very loyal to their owners, loving and protective. Have you ever seen a fawnequin? It's a fairly new color, they're like a harlequin only with the light brown. They are really beautiful too.
@cthrukira No, not at all. There are just three important things to know when raising danes. When they are a puppy, don't feed them puppy food. Put them on a good quality adult food with only 21% to 23% protein. They are a fast growing breed, the protein levels in puppy food will make them grow too fast and develop serious bone defects. Make sure their feeding bowls are elevated and don't exercise them for a half hour before or after eating. I've had danes for 11 years and never had a problem.

@cthrukira The american dane has a smaller head with less jowls. The american that I had did not drool at all. Rugen is a german dane and his head is a great deal larger with massive jowls and droopy eyes. He drools and slobbers alot. I have to feed him outside because of the drool. It can get on the walls, but it cleans up easily. So if the drool doesn't bother you, I would recommend a german, because they're a bit bigger build. They're more of the classic look of a dane.
My danes daddy is a Harlequin.. and he was huge. I am 167cm tall and this dog's head came to my chest! I can only imagine how tall he would be stabding on 2 legs!

wow you should go for the record if he really is taller than george. i still don't think goerge was measured right. i saw a vid with his owner measuring and georges withers were not where the 43" he marked on the stick was. Anyways love your dane great color and his comformation is a million times better than any of the previous danes that held the record.
there is literally no reference points anywhere in the video to make a claim as to the worlds biggest the dog isn't even standing next to a person or anything allowing us to even guess how big the dog is.
